The Digital Reverse Camera Projection (DRCP) application is used for onsite photogrammetry. This in-field photogrammetry application allows players to solve for the place and precise perspective were a previous or historical photograph was taken. The historical photo is overlaid on the live camera view and the website can then be analyzed for any changes to the website since the photograph was taken. Contemporary photographs can then be taken from the same vantage. The original place of objects can be determined and documented through photographs, video, 3d scanning, or another survey equipment, and used for further analysis such as line-of-sight, sun and shadow, or acoustics. The application currently offers the following benefits: • Real-time interactive photogrammetry • Easily load & toggle photograph overlays • Replicate vantage of historical photographs • Determine place of historical evidence • Live photo capture of stage reconstruction • Fine digital field of view (FoV) adjustment • Immediate feedback about changes to the site The DRCP application has been featured in a 2019, peer-reviewed, technical paper by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) titled "The Application of Augmented Reality to Reverse Camera Projection".
