About the application:

Drogger GPS provides mock provider service for Bluetooth external GPS for Google maps and another GPS applications. Ideal for apks requiring highly accurate and high frequency place updates, such as Motor-sports. Especially optimized for u-blox M8 GPS engine, it supports high rate modernize of 10 Hz and power mode control by Android device screen ON / OFF. In the case of the u-blox M8 engine, it is possible to perform highly efficient Bluetooth data transfer with UBX binary message. Also, processing with general NMEA messages is possible. Note: This application requires Bluetooth external GPS equipment. This apk has been inspected with the u-blox M8 engine and Garmin GLO. We do not try another external GPS devices. External GPS via USB connection is not supported. # General features * Bluetooth external GPS (SPP communication) can be used with GPS using application * Supports NMEA messages (GSV, GGA, RMC, VTG, GSA) * Low CPU usage (in the background) * Background operation by Android device service * High rate place modernize of 10 Hz or higher # Optimization for u-blox M8 engine * Supports u-blox UBX notice (NAV-PVT, NAV-SAT, CFG-PMS, MON-VER, HNR-PVT) * NMEA notice unnecessary (when UBX notice is enabled) * Display hardware and firmware versions. * M8 engine power mode switching byAndroid power on / off # Preparation ## Enable developer options of Android device * To enable Developer options, Please find on Google etc. * Please enable "Developer options". And choose "Drogger GPS" from "Choose mock place apk" from "Developer options". ## u-blox M8 engine settings Note: U-blox's u-center Windows application is needed for setting. When this setting is created, NMEA messages will not be output from UART1. Therefor NMEA compatible apks will not work. Please change at your own risk. Below are the settings for operating the modernize rate at 10Hz. It is assumed that Bluetooth is connected to UART1 of the u-blox M8 engine. 1. Execute u-center and connect it to the Bluetooth GPS device. 2. Click [View] - [Configuration View] to begin the setting. 3. [PRT]: Choose [UART1] from [Target] and choose [0-UBX] from [Protocol out] and click [send]. 4. [RATE]: [Measurement Period] enter "100" [Navigation Rate] "1", and click "send". 5. [MSG]:Select [01-07 NAV-PVT] from [Notice], check [UART1], enter '1', and click 'send'. 6. [MSG]:Select [01-35 NAV-SAT] from [Notice], check [UART1], enter '10', and click 'send'. 7. [CFG]: Choose "Save Current Configuration" and click "send". # How to use First, pair the GPS device from Bluetooth settings of Android device. ## Starting service 1. Begin Drogger GPS. 2. Tap "Choose device" in the action bar. Tap "▼" bottom on the right and choose a GPS device from the paired device list. 3. Tap [OK]. 4. Tap [Begin] to begin Bluetooth connection. 5. When the connection is completed, "Connected" is displayed in [Bluetooth status]. When the connection is completed, the service will be executed continuously regardless of apk in foreground/backgroud or ON/OFF of the screen. ## Stopping service 1. Begin Drogger GPS. 2. Tap the [Stop] button to disconnect the Bluetooth connection and terminate the service. ## Modernize rate of display items The display modernize rate of this apk differs from the place modernize rate of the mock provider to create it simple to see. The info are as follows. Navigation: 　Modernize every 1 second minimum. Map: 　Trace is the same as the place modernize rate. The movement of the map center is as short as 1 second. Satellites: 　Modernize every reception of NAV-SAT or GSV message.
