With the droneguide mobile application Belgocontrol and the Belgian Civil Aviation Authority tutorial drone pilots through the Belgian airspace. The apk informs drone players in a comprehensible and intuitive method on which legal requirements they have to comply with for piloting a drone in Belgium. Pilots can use the apk to consult location-based info on airspace structure. After choosing a drone kind and defining a flight profile (height and radius), the pilot can validate his/her flight versus the applicable regulation. That method, it is displayed whether the flight is authorized or forbidden in the desired flight place, based on permanent or temporary airspace restrictions. Furthermore, players keep general info regarding the needed qualifications (pilot) and licences for flying drones in Belgium. After creating an acc (e-mail address / password) more functions are activated: • Fly Now function: when the ‘Fly Now’ button has been activated, it indicates whether another drones are nearby that require the pilot’s attention. • Logbook: when the function has been activated, a logbook is automatically made (device, date, time, place).
