DS Barometer is a handsomely crafted barometer and air pressure recorder for Android device devices with or without a barometric pressure sensor. Rapid changes in the barometric pressure usually precede significant changes in the weather. Use the barometric pressure trends measured by this apk with another atmospheric data (such as cloud patterns and temperature changes) to predict improving or worsening weather conditions. Barometric pressure monitoring can also be helpful for people with barometric migraine headache and another barometric-pressure similar medical conditions, such as arthritis, that may be aggravated by changes in barometric pressure. The apk contains a background pressure monitoring feature that was designed specifically for a mobile barometer unit. Our pressure monitor is able to handle changes in place and altitude as you move about because all recorded pressures are reduced to sea level - that means that pressure trends and graphs can be interpreted without any concern that they were affected by a change in your elevation during the recording interval. For devices equipped with a barometer sensor, this application uses the atmospheric pressure measured by your smartphone to calculate the sea level adjusted barometric pressure at your place. Temperature and altitude, also used in the calculation, are obtained by matching your position versus weather and altitude survey databases. These values are more reliable than the values returned from your GPS chip and your phone's temperature sensor and may effect in a more meaningful barometric pressure reading. Extra Features: β No guessing about how the values displayed by the apk were obtained. Devices without a barometric pressure sensor will present the barometric pressure at your place by using your GPS and internet connection. NOTE: Some devices and some apks that offer a battery saving feature will turn off the monitoring features in this application. If barometer monitoring is enabled and you are not able to record the pressure, you will need to turn off battery saving features. Dave A: Just installed this. Minimal settings required. Changed the readings to US standards. Checked the local NOAA/NWS for the current weather and compared the readings. Almost exactly the same. So far, I am satisfied. Just remember to clear the apk just as with any running apk after you use it so you don't run your battery down.

Phillip Saugar: Changing the rating too five stars. (After talking to the repair customer service squad, I did a complete shut down then restarted my Samsung S6. The pressure reading gauge is working ok now.) (Original notice) Works on and off. Sometimes the meter it works fast, most of the time it's very slow. GPS lat. And Lng. are fast. Its the Pressure meter, that's the main trouble. I've done the the D'S. Restart apk. Doesn't assist.

Bill&Jamie Archambault: This recent modernize is brilliant. It is much more intuitive as far a navigation between screens. I definitely love the longer time periods accessible in the historical graphs. This is the only apk I've found that does decent barometer graphing, and the longer times accessible are very useful.

My smartphone (Xperia SP) does not have integral barometer. The DS barometer interface is very nice indeed. After just ten mins' use, I gladly paid Β£1.22 for this gorgeous apk. Well done, dev!
