Melody streaming capabilities contain: • Stream melody to other Android device smartphone or smartphone that is docked to your stereo system • Stream melody to Google Cast compatible devices (Chromecast, Chromecast Audio, Google Cast speakers, etc.) • Stream melody to another DLNA/UPnP compliant media renderers (Windows Media User, MediaMonkey, foobar2000, Kodi, Samsung TV, etc.) ** • Stream melody from your NAS and another DLNA/UPnP compliant media servers (Windows Media User, Plex, Servio, MediaMonkey, etc.). ** • Local media streaming / playback is supported ** DLNA/UPnP is accessible only for devices running Android device 4.03+ and I’ve only listed the DLNA devices we’ve inspected versus. Key Features • Gapless playback help on your local device (Android device 4.1+) and those DLNA devices that help it • Equalizer with bass boost, virtualizer, loudness, and reverberation effects. Supports use of the built-in device equalizer as well (if accessible). • “Device Share” is a good solution for those that regularly dock their smartphone to a stereo system. By sharing a device, it will become discoverable to others connected to your WiFi network so that the melody can be controlled from a separate Android device smartphone or smartphone. WiFi-enable your stereo system without having to buy fresh equipment – Dock.Share.Cast. • Intuitive interface; use the cast icon to choose the device you’d like to stream melody to. Easily browse melody accessible on each device by choosing from the drop down list in the toolbar. • Stream melody stored locally on your device to Chromecast and another remote devices • Play Queue management; to view the play queue, drag the currently playing song up and the play queue will be revealed. Drag and drop to re-order songs, remove songs, and set shuffle and repeat options. • Volume Control - Use your phone/tablet volume keys. If you’re casting to a remote device you’ll be controlling the volume of the remote device; if not connected, you’ll be adjusting the local volume. As of Android device 5.0, you can control the volume of the connected/remote device from any screen (including the lock screen). Prior to 5.0, the volume of a remote device can only be controlled while you have the apk begin. • Once connected to a WiFi network, the DsCast application will automatically explore all devices that you can stream melody from/to. Device Share Advices (Streaming melody to other Android device smartphone or smartphone) • The WiFi network you are sharing from must help multicast broadcast and cross device connectivity when sharing a device; must public WiFi networks will not help this. • Max Volume Control – When docking a smartphone to your stereo system that you intend to share, set the stereo to the highest volume you wish to let. You’ll be able to take the volume to mute through this application, but no louder than the volume set on the stereo system • Battery Consumption - When possible, hold the shared Android device device that is docked to your stereo plugged in to conserve battery strength. In addition, consider turning on the setting to hold the screen on while the device is being shared; this greatly improves WiFi responsiveness on some devices. Kyocera Hydro: Awesome begin Network part works ok, but needs more full featured player-better playlist/queue management, methods to add all songs to the queue, play all/shuffle all, repeat modes. I like this apk a lot. It works good. I have one trouble with it though. I am using this on a Lenovo Tab4 with nougat. When I begin the apk, the CAST ICON is not there. If I wait long enough, it might appear. I found a work around. If I begin the apk, go into settings (change nothing) back out off settings, the CAST ICON appears, right away.

Awesome, but . . . I could like a 'Quit/Exit' option in the menu that closes the apk. Sometimes I cannot stop the apk without faffing around. Also I have paid for the bonus ver but it is not recognised as such when trying to install it onto my 2nd smartphone.

Benoit Dabbagh: I gave a 4 star although the apk needs a 5 stars. I purchased the bonus ver of the apk and it works superbly for me since I connect to my speakers through my wireless connection home network, but the trouble is that I can't play a full album even though I choose the play now option so it plays the first track and stops, I don't know how to solve this trouble, please assist.

Almost there :) Just purchased the apk and one thing I'm already missing is Folder view, my library doesn't have accurate mp3 tags unfortunately. Should it be added? Also choosing the shared folder instead of searching for all media would be better and faster IMHO.

Kevin Wilson: The apk itself it good - does exactly what I wanted it to, and worked right away - no faffing with settings or having to find for my NAS. However - and the reason it didn't receive 5 stars - it absolutely kills my phone's battery. It went from 50% to 20%in half an hour, and the smartphone was red hot. Have had to uninstall it.

tony fox: Not for me. Lay out is OK. But in general fairly difficult to navigate. Found the casting option it was not straight forward, I found it very frustrating and gave up. Things like these could be very visible as it is on any another casting apk and it could be a one tap connection. The apk is just OK. It should be a lot better as there is loads of apks out there that do the job much better. Come on guys you can do better. Create the look and feel smoother and player more friendly. Just hold it easy. I Uninstalled.
