EclipseDroid is the ultimate companion for each engaged solar eclipse observer and all people, who are interested in solar eclipses Your Tutorial for obserserving the Black Sun. The apk calculates exact data for any solar eclipse at any place, total as well as annular, hybrid or partial eclipses as well as ancient or future ones. These are the beginning and end of the eclipse (C1 and C4), the beginning and end of the total or annual phase (C2 and C3), the time of mid eclipse and the current percentage of coverage of the solar disk. You have the choice of two layouts: a smart layout showing the local circumstances and an animation of the eclipse in a condensed form or the classic layout with countdowns for all contacts, an happenings list with the next upcoming happenings and the actual eclipse view, if the eclipse is running. In the 'eclipse info' screen you receive full info about the local and global circumstances and tables of magnitude times for photographers. Pressing 'Menu' will add the eclipse to your favorite private calendar. Required Permissions: - Hardware controls: Camera. Needed for AR. A Google user: EclipseDroid was the excellent program for the Good Eclipse this past August! The app's scripting and tethering capabilities enabled me to take a more precise and thorough sequence of images than I would have been able to do manually, allowing me to sit back and have fun my first total solar eclipse rather than fiddling with camera controls. EclipseDroid pinpointed my place, and the eclipse timing was spot on. My images turned out wonderfully! // While testing EclipseDroid I discovered that its scripting syntax was limited to 1 image every 1 second (per device). Even so, my camera would only actually take a image every *2* seconds (despite being able to manually take rapid sequences of images). This may have been due to having an older camera (~2010) with a slow tethering interface. I revised my EclipseDroid script accordingly, scripting a image every 2 seconds. A Google user: I inspected a few eclipse apks and chose this one. It was almost 1 min off of totality in Madras,OR. My Pixel had the exact time and GPS positioning. I'm disappointed, but by 2024,. I'll be using something else.

A Google user: I love the idea of this tool. However, it crashes whenever I coonect via my Note 10.1 to a Canon 60D. Hoping for a fix before the next eclipse on Nov 3. Modernize: Setting USB Debugging to On in Developer Settings seems to have fixed the trouble.

A Google user: Looks like a well polished and detailed apk. I love the thought of being able to script using my Android device smartphone. However, anytime I plug in my Canon 5D4, the apk immediately crashes. The Play shop email link goes to an address that does not work.
