About the application:

The Equine Upper Respiratory Tract Tutorial is an inclusive tutorial of the equine upper respiratory tract. This tutorial is destined for veterinarians and veterinary students, and for whom it provides a fully comprehensive program of understanding the equine upper respiratory tract, assist them establish accurate diagnoses in a timely manner for the patient's well-being and client satisfaction, and tutorial them in the choice and application of treatment. For a broad use, faster distribution and better player experience, it was more interesting to show the elaborated tutorial in form of an Android device application with text and illustrations being in English, as it is the most commonly spoken language in the globe. Thereby the application will impact more people and will have a broader player base. The creation of this application was an integral part of a veterinary thesis intituled "Conception and creation of an android device application for the equine upper respiratory tract". The thesis' goal was to provide clinicians and students with a rich, available, illustrated reference for the equine upper respiratory tract. A reference that can be easily accessed no matter when or where. The thesis was conducted by Zouhair ER-RAHBY, and supervised by, in its various stages, Pr. Mohammed Piro (DVM, Phd) and Pr. Khalid El ALLALI (DVM, Phd) . The mobile application contain various sections each dedicated to show an aspect of the upper respiratory tract. One of the sections describe the anatomy of the tract’s organ, while other section cover the current diagnostic techniques. Finally, the upper respiratory tract’s disorders and abnormalities are covered in info in other section. A diagnosis aid program for the equine upper respiratory tract (DATEURT) was also developed. This program generate a list of differential diagnosis from a set of symptoms. The info on the mobile application are presented in form of a structured and well organized text supported by figures and videos which were inserted to enhance understanding of the info. Furthermore, to enhance the player experience, various functionalities were integrated as part of this application.
