Barrie Byron: Good interactive happening tool program I was able to set up the entire symposium tool in just two hours. 1 final hour to review and upload images for that presenters and logos for the sponsors. Simple to use in a super slick program for all attendees

Joel Michel: Useful! This apk was very helpful during the symposium. Created it so I didn't need to carry around pages and pages of symposium literature. The custom itinerary feature was especially nice. Maybe add calendar integration to that? One warning: this apk gets a tiny buggy during orientation changes.

Nathan Strom: Not sure what's up with all the low reviews. Used this for vslive Chicago 2014 this past week, had no problems. Data seemed cached ok, worked when I had my smartphone (Galaxy S4/kitkat/Sprint) in airplane mode.

Niklas H: Haven't found a better one Works well enough. Lots of improvements should be created but I've yet to search a better apk for talks/conferences so this one is very useful.

A Google User: Seems adequate I just installed the apk at the suggestion of the symposium organizers. It's not the most unbelievable Android device apk I've ever installed, but it seems to do the job quite well. Thankfully, my symposium is near the top of the list, but I should see others' point about having to scroll to search a symposium toward the bottom of the list each time being annoying. A long-press "Add to favorites" would be a welcome addition.

Julian Burton: decent apk with a couple of significant problems PLEASE create the "my" tab the default on entering the apk; defaulting to another random symposiums instead of the one I'm actually at is beyond stupid.

Joseph Sinkiewicz: It works... It works and doesn't crash or anything..... but the interface is very clunky and not very player friendly

Martin Kreis: Fine Was fine and working...

Mark Ploegstra: A work in progress Falafel addresses problems with specific symposium catalogs very responsively. The apk itself is a functional method to view a symposium catalog by time slot or speaker name and to choose your agenda. The apk also shows symposium news and info and links to symposium resources (such as to the symposium site and to the symposium place in Google Maps). I have two main problems: 1) Accessing a symposium might trigger notifications that can't be turned off. I sometimes got a few notifications a day after accessing a completed symposium. 2) The player acc feature is not explained within the apk, and most players would be better off without an acc. The only purpose of the acc seems to be to let you to access your agenda on multiple devices. The apk doesn't hold a local copy of your agenda on your device if you use an acc. If your device loses access to the Internet, you can't see your agenda. (For example, if you select your agenda at home and then fly to the symposium, you can't see your agenda while you're on the plane.) The agenda is stored locally if you don't use an acc, so if you don't use multiple devices, you're better off without an acc.

Benjamin Von Handorf: Works, but needs optimization The apk works and does what it has to, but some simple optimization should create it a lot better. Putting a find on the session list is key. There are some speakers and subjects I know I wish to see... allow me search them! Letting me schedule and unschedule sessions without drilling into the detail would create it a much faster process to build the schedule when I know that I'm seeing. Place the speaker name in the session listing. It matters more often than not! I can't tell if the floor plan for CodeMash is missing or just not loading? Has a lot of potential, but some fast convenience fixes should create it a much better experience!

Mark Moore: First time use It worked well except I expected My Agenda would only present the sessions I chosen; instead it showed all. The session feedback worked well and much better than paper feedback.

Stephenie Price: Some little problems create it difficult Once a survey is submitted it could take me to some home screen. Instead I have to press the back button through the survey screens to receive home. Also, it allows you to select half star ratings, but then errors that a needed question hasn't been answered.

A Google User: Good Idea! Needs Improvement. Needs ability to tag "My Symposiums" or add "Favorite Symposiums" tab. Needs ability to filter symposium listing by place.

Anamaria Hudisteanu: Keeps crashing on Samsung Galaxy S6 with Android device 7. The only method of using it is to force close the apk an opening it once more. When I manage to begin it and use it I noticed the data loads quite slowly.

Jon Adams: Awful Crashes, forced login for no reason, slow, bugged Survey validation, offline mode only works sometimes, lists don't refresh when stale.
User rated this game 2/5 on 2017-01-14
Jeff Valore: Really slow, crashes constantly, sometimes agenda doesn't refresh when adding an happening to it.

A Google User: Useful idea, but needs more work The apk spends too much time (and bandwidth) updating info about symposiums another than the one(s) I'm attending. There could be a specific option to 'join' a symposium, and info could only be downloaded for joined symposiums. The symposium list could only be downloaded when joining. The apk needs to download all the info for a joined symposium, because there may be no network availability at the symposium when the info is required. Modernize that details when possible, but create sure cached data can be used offline. Some sort of timetable grid view would be very useful, so that it's simple to see at a glance when stuff clash/overlap, and where there is a gap in chosen sessions. Note that some symposiums have sessions of differing lengths at the same time (2 short sessions at the same tome as 1 long one) and the apk doesn't seem to deal well with that. The apk seems to delete details about a symposium when the symposium is over. It could not do that automatically -- I wish to be able to hold a record of the symposium with my notes and feedback on the sessions attended until I explicitly delete it.

Karl Jamoralin: Functional but crashes a lot

Cody Toombs: Extremely frustrating bugs After using this apk during AnDevCon IV, it's painfully clear that it needs a complete overhaul. There are a few usability problems that create the apk difficult to use and sometimes beautiful unreliable. The interface is frustrating to use and very messy. It appears that EventBoard doesn't cache data reliably (and some data doesn't seem to be cached at all). A lot of symposiums are notorious for having slow, limited or only partially functioning Wi-Fi. Combined with the need to quickly look at a scheduled agenda means waiting a very long time for data to load. The 'All' view (and the By Time and By Track views, too) doesn't present any markers to indicate which sessions you've marked to attend, a feature that is show in the iOS ver. The interface could also be redesigned to move symposium details out of the Android device system menu into the main screen. Ideally, they could be using the action bar, but that's probably aiming too high.

A Google User: not stable
User rated this game 2/5 on 2011-11-13
T Stephenson: Awful performance Tried to use this apk and found it very unstable. There is a brilliant alternative - EventIdent which is gratis for happening managers and works without any bugs.
User rated this game 2/5 on 2016-08-31
Rich Bennett: Clunky Restarts most of the time when resuming. Half stars don't work in surveys. Also the activity stack creates a lot of duplicates, including clicking on a session then having to back out twice to receive to the previous screen.
User rated this game 2/5 on 2017-01-13
A Google User: Beautiful cumbersome The fact that the happenings need to load every time the apk is opened makes it almost unusable on the go. I do like how you can give feedback on talks directly in the apk though.
User rated this game 2/5 on 2012-05-18
David Frahm: Awesome and awful Some time slots were wrong, and sometimes it lost my favorites, but most of the time it was useful.
User rated this game 2/5 on 2013-06-03
Pieter Contender: Very primary... Missing some primary functionality. A proper private symposium agenda and a map of the places are missing.
