Today, more and more older people are selecting to live independently, in their own homes – aided by vital technology innovations like the My Medic Watch™ apk, which is currently under medical trial at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney. The My Medic Watch™ apk is designed to be downloaded to a wearable device such as a smartwatch. It can be worn by people of all ages who are prone to falls, and older people who are still living alone in their home. This ground-breaking apk uses proprietary and innovative algorithms, which interpret data automatically captured by sensor technologies on the smartwatch, to determine if the wearer has a fall. If the wearer does have a fall, the My Medic Watch™ apk automatically detects the happening and notifies all dedicated caregivers, without the need for manual intervention, providing info of the individual’s place. The apk can also be activated manually by the wearer if he or she is feeling unwell and requires assistance, simply by pressing a button on their smartwatch. Each alert recipient can send a response advising whether they are able to help, which is forwarded to both the individual and the another caregivers. The My Medic Watch™ apk allows people who are vulnerable to falls to receive immediate care and assistance when they fall, so they remain feeling secure in their normal environment and can hold their autonomy. This process has four steps: 1. Smart Detection As soon as a fall occurs, the My Medic Watch™ apk detects it using smartwatch sensors and an accurate algorithm. 2. Immediate Alert The apk then automatically sends notifications with the wearer’s GPS place to the nominated caregivers without the need for manual intervention based on workflows of escalation. 3. Reassurance For Everyone All caregivers are sent updates of the progress, keeping everyone informed and reassured. 4. Real Time Data Included in the user’s subscription is access to true time data for all similar medical episodes. The player can also select to give access to his or her doctor, so that their medical data can be reviewed securely, online – for better long-term health outcomes.
