It enabled humanity to eradicate illness, extend life, and granted unprecedented control over evolution and even consciousness itself. But it was not long before human nature toppled the fresh order. Vying for supremacy of this newfound Eden, they scorched the earth in fights of lust and greed, until their insatiable hunger possessed the network itself, giving rise to a "mutagenic substance" both sentient and having extraordinary self-evolution capabilities. Desiring above all to extinguish humanity, it initiated the "Reckoning Protocol," transfiguring the earth into an abyss of grand extinction. The war versus oblivion has now raged for over half a century. From the unfortunate survivors rose a shadowy organization called the "Self-Ark". They produce Replicants, fighters forged to withstand even the greatest of horrors. Like them, you too are a "Hell Breaker." Although the fight is method past its infancy, your arrival is about to herald a second good change.
