Mortal Kombat X[d] (MKX) is a fighting video mini game developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Running on the Unreal Engine 3, it is the tenth main installment in the Mortal Kombat video mini game series and a sequel to the 2011 mini game Mortal Kombat. It was released on April 14, 2015 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. NetherRealm Studios' mobile squad developed a ver for iOS and Android device devices. High Voltage Tool developed the PC ver of the mini game, with Polish studio QLOC taking over the work on it shortly after the release of Kombat Package 1. Like previous Mortal Kombat mini games, Mortal Kombat X's video test consists of two users, or one user and the CPU, fighting versus each another with their chosen hero, using a really big, varied array of hero specific attacks. The mini game includes a few modes, such as a story mode, which takes put twenty-five years after the previous Mortal Kombat mini game, a few 'Turret' modes, which feature dynamically changing challenges, numerous online modes, and the 'Krypt', a mode played in a first-person perspective where users discover the places unlocking a dozens of in-game items. The console versions of Mortal Kombat X received critical acclaim upon release. Most praise was directed at the game's controls, overall video test, graphics, story, and heroes, with some reviewers calling it the best mini game in the Mortal Kombat series. However, the PC ver of the mini game was met with mixed reception, with reviewers citing numerous technical problems (including frequent crashes and slow netcode) as issues that severely hinder the experience. Selling more than 10 million copies, the mini game was the fastest-selling mini game in the franchise and the ninth best-selling mini game in 2015.[8] An upgraded ver of Mortal Kombat X, titled Mortal Kombat XL, was released on March 1, 2016, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, including all downloadable content heroes from the two released Kombat Packs, almost all premium alternate costumes accessible at the time of release, improved video test, and improved netcode. This edition was also released for PC on October 4, 2016, and was added to the Xbox Mini game Pass on December 7, 2018. A sequel, Mortal Kombat 11, was released on April 23, 2019. Mortal Kombat grants the user the ability to assemble a squad of warriors in 3 V 3 Combat mode and make batter their squad by gaining experience, teaching them fresh unique attacks, and improving their capabilities with artifacts. The mini game incorporates the roster of the console ver along with exclusive heroes that are playable only in the mobile ver.
