About the application:

Wildland fire weather observation calculation and archiving program. *** The fresh ver of the Fire Weather Calculator contains ANONYMOUS sharing of weather observations with researchers at the University of Montana. The anonymous observations will be used to help research in weather prediction, analysis, and content display. Data shared with UM will only include data fields from the apk (images are excluded) and a device ID (to differentiate between players). No private info is shared. We ask that you "opt-in" to anonymous sharing in order to help these research projects. Anonymous sharing can be changed any time in the "Settings" page of the apk. Thank you! *** This application allows fast calculation of RH, Ok Dead Fuel Moisture (FDFM), and Probability of Ignition (PIG) based on standard fire line weather observations. The apk also provides means of archiving AND sharing those observations through another core Android device functionality such as email, Dropbox, and Google Drive. Partial form submissions are allowed (and can be archived and shared), but entire form must be filled in to calculate FDFM and PIG. Bulk submission of multiple observations are now done on first page of app. This is a beta release. Please forward questions to email listed below.
