About the application:

This learning apk for children comes from Teachbasix Technologies – which made a few learning apks for 3-8 year old children to hone their reading ability and the primary number concepts. In this apk, there are three reading activities. Select Words, Select Sentences, and Create Sentences. For Select Word, the tool speaks out a word. For example, it may say, “leg”. Then the kid has to select leg among the four possible options that are there. Similarly, for Select Sentences, the tool speaks out a whole sentence, and the student has to select the correct sentence among the four accessible options. For create sentences, the tool speaks out a sentence, and you have to use the accessible words to construct that sentence. The apk uses 500 most frequently occurring phonetic and sight words, and sentences constructed from those words. Each of the activities have multiple levels. The words are ranked based on how frequently occurring they are – the most frequent words which are also simple to spell are place in the first level, next ones are in the second level and so on. This learning apk is awesome for classroom usage as well as reading practice at home. You can monitor the progress of your kid (or if you are a teacher, you can monitor the progress of your class), using the accuracy and average time taken metric given in the scorecard.
