They seem to have a strict policy in result to only hold the best drivers driving, which I love. No more worrying about a shady, uninsured Lyft/Uber rides randomly raising the price mid-ride! Only $2 a mile. I have had some awful experiences with Uber and Lyft with their weird and creeper drivers.

True cab drivers in SF are are fingerprinted and go through background checks by the state of CA, and carry insurance. Don't risk your private security with other service. There have been latest stories in the news of passengers being assaulted by drivers from another ride-share aps. The apk works best when you have a awesome data connection and GPS. Turn off after ride otherwise it continues to use data.
