Prescription medication or low cost medications may be offered in some of these facilities. A few of these clinics are gratis and some may charge patients at a sliding scale. The fees will be minimal on a sliding fee scale. Most cases the patient will need to pay only what they can offered towards their bills. In addition to the clinics listed below, there are a few specialized tools sponsored by pharmaceutical companies, business associations and non-profit organizations to help low-income or needy individuals in obtaining important prescription medications gratis or at a substantially reduced cost.
