  Javier Gomez: It works exactly like what I was expecting. I required to be able to retrieve files on my smartphone from my computer. I tried samba server apks, but they needed rooting my smartphone which I was reluctant to do. This is a good alternative.

  Paulo Becker: Hands down the fastest method to transfer files between smartphone and PC, and makes you kinda feel like a hacker while doing it. Been using the gratis ver for a long time, and even though the advertisements are not obtrusive, I felt like the developer deserved my purchase.

  Edward Falk: Works good, super simple UI IMPORTANT: remember to set transfer mode to binary before copying media files. (This may only be required if you use the command-line ftp client). Also, with Linux (and maybe another Unix variants) you could give the -p option to use passive mode.

  Philip Taramai: Transferring files to and from my LG Optimus 3 II and my Desktop PC over WiFi is a breeze. Using this apk, and Linux Mint 16 Xfce's Thunar file manager pointing at each device, it was just a easy matter of a drag and drop action.

  Joel Marchesoni: It drives me crazy that my Galaxy S4 doesn't help USB mass storage. I transfer lots of file types, not just photos, and MTP is awful. This apk works good over WiFi and the USB connection is a awesome substitute for mass storage.

  John Smith: Old school FTP is the fast time-tested unencrypted method to move your files from phones to pc and tablets etc. I have another apks that do this with ssh and sftp and scp etc. This is just quick and easy. Don't need encryption around the house for a few second/minute wireless connection transfer. Yes, wireless connection transfer files from PC to smartphone and back, etc. Set it up, and it's two touch ready every time after that.. In Windows I use WinSCP Portable. No install needed. FTP mode only so you have to switch it from SFTP/SCP to transfer with The Olive Tree's FTP Server apk. Awesome to go. 5 stars for easy.

  Cole von Werder: Had to pirate this apk to receive it onto my shield because it's not accessible for Android device TV. I bought the pro ver for my smartphone to even things out. The apk is good. I use it all the time to receive films from my laptop to the shield. Very simple to use.

Simple to setup, reliable (but still at the mercy of awful WiFi, unfortunately) as it seems to autoresume. A good product. 5 mins into using the gratis ver, I had to receive the pro ver!

  Jim Wroten: This is the best method to receive files on and off your Android device. You just need an FTP client on your PC - I use Filezilla (gratis). This APP works good. I finally discovered it after downloading a few related APPs, which I quickly removed because of one flaw or other. When I got to FTP Server, it didn't have any of the problems that caused another APPs to fail IMO. I started with the gratis ver, then quickly upgraded to the pay ver to stop the advertisements and help the developer.
