  A Google User: Best of the famous topo apks! Gaia has the nicest UI of all the topo apks that makes the most of screen place (including full screen) to present as much map as possible with configurable, hideable info/status panels. There are also informative, selectable overlays accessible. Gaia also has the most useable mapping features and map sources compared to two of the another main competitors. I like that it has a a few viewing modes for night and high contrast. The maps are clear and sharp. Panning speed is beautiful awesome. The feature for offlining maps is simple to use. The devs are responsive and actively improving the apk. Being able to export/import gpx files is really handy. Before buying Gaia I tried the another most famous topo apks and liked Gaia the best. Love using it on my super quick large hi-res screen HTC One X :-)

  Inga Walker: Worked perfectly Used this in the backcountry of Denali national park, where there was obviously no cell service. Downloaded my maps ahead of time at home while I had service and I was awesome to go. Installed on my Samsung s5 and worked perfectly. Very, very cool options online and definitely saved us a lot of effort with highly detailed topo maps and fast, exact locating. Plus displays the direction you're facing, also extremely helpful. Method point marking accessible. Some of the best $$ I spent prepping for our trip. Super!

  Aaron Allen: Good apk This apk literally saved my life, backpacking southern utah, I wandered of the trail in a desert and because I had the gps, I was able to search a fresh trail a few miles away. This apk also is good for knowing how far you've hiked, also when you don't have a signal this apk still works, that is the large sell, this apk is a must have for and outdoorsman.

  Yvette Bell: I was hesitant to purchase this apk for my Google Pixel after the negative reviews associated with the Android device platform, and after he iOS make batter (that was not created accessible for Android device). However, after unsuccessfully finding any another apk that did what Gaia offers, I gave in -- and I'm glad I did. I was recently hiking in the French Alps and wanted to re-direct my pre-planned route mid-way. I pulled out my smartphone, reviewed the map, plotted a route and got excellent info ... in the middle of the Alps. I accept that iOS ver is better, but this works, and I am crossing my fingers for an Android device make batter soon, also.
