About the application:

A direct sequel to Galaga. The objective is to score as a lot of points as possible by defeating successive waves of opponents in levels called "Parsecs". Its core video test is very related to Galaga: Opponents fly onto the screen in rows and join a formation near the top, then start attacking the player's ship with kamikaze-like dives. The ship can move left and right, as well as vertically. Premium lives are earned at certain score intervals, and can also be gained by collecting ship parts dropped by some opponents, as well as collecting Rally-X premium flags from shooting stars. The user loses a life when struck by an opponent or one of their shots; the mini game ends when all lives are lost. Certain opponents drop upgrades that contain a tractor beam which the user can use to capture opponents, a really big drill that can destroy a lot of opponents at once, powerups that temporarily slow down opponents or nullify their shots, and parts to make a fresh ship that awards an additional life when completed. Some stages start with the star field reversing direction, with harder and faster waves of opponents appearing before resuming a normal formation. The mini game features premium "Challenging Stages" just as Galaga did. However, instead of defeating a certain number of opponents, the objective of the challenging scene is to juggle opponents by hitting them as a lot of times as possible. Each hit grants a dot (represented by a bee) in a word or phrase, with additional hits adding to horizontal lines above and below the word. Spelling the entire word or phrase will earn a premium similar to that phrase, and each hit scores premium points at the end of the round.
