  David Bayly: If your camera lack GPS, use this. It's the excellent solution short of a high-priced Nikon (or whatever) dongle. I had the previous ver and since it was OK I didn't understand the need for a fresh ver. Now that I've used it I'm quite satisfied with the automated tracking and the seamless encoding of GPS info. I think the negative reviews are simply the product of people not paying attention to what they're buying, or not reading the directions. This apk couldn't be easier to use and it works flawlessly. IT'S FOR GEOCODING Images, folks, YOU DOWNLOAD A PC APP TO USE IN TANDEM WITH IT!

  A Google user: I have used this tool a few times. I geo mark my photos just after I copy the files from my camera. Then in Lightroom they are ready to be seen on the map module. I use the PC tool to mark files.

  Steve Pullinger: After seeing the cost of a Canon GPS unit, I hoped I'd search some another method to add geotags, didn't expect it to be this simple. A few clicks during my import and cull scene and then import the tagged images into Lightroom. Did 2 try trips then bought the licence, well worth a put in my toolkit and workflow!

  Richard Cottonfield: Not very straightforward, but got it working after some time, the desktop tool is very primary and won't begin unless you login with an acc. The whole workflow seems a bit strange and leaves me with some privacy concerns. Time will present if an external tracker (battery, data stay local) will replace this apk.

  Paul Coles: Unbelievable GPS tagging apk. Works really well, doesn't destroy the battery. You can do a log per day, or just hold pausing and recording, it's all sorted by day in the gpx file. I load the tracks into Lightroom, so I can't comment on any of the another functionality.

  Brandon: I use this apk everytime I use my mirrorless cameras. It works almost every time and with ease. The only trouble is it makes my galaxy s7 edge very hot and kills the battery beautiful quickly, it also freezes and requires a force close every so often. But overall does exactly what it is supposed to and am reasonably satisfied with it.

  Bjarte Aune Olsen: I have too a lot of issues with errors in the logs for this to be a proper solution. The apk uploads more than one log file for each trip, and splits the trip into a few <trkseg> in the gpx files. Usually all the data is there (at least as far as I can see), but I have to manually edit the gpx files every single time to receive the desktop apk to agree them. I will instead look for other apk to log my trips and make the gpx files and use your perfect desktop apk to mark the images. – EDIT: I now realised your desktop apk doesn't agree GPX files from another apks than your own. So I'm using GPS Logger for Android device and GeoSetter for Windows instead.

  John Soanes: I can't overstate how useful Geotag Images Pro 2 is for me. I travel and I hike and spend much additional time taking reference shots with my smartphone (for Geotagging) only to then spend hours copying over the GPS data in Lightroom to pictures taken with my DSLR. Geotag works flawlessly with both Sony RAW formats. It’s a large time savings when you've got 1,000s of photos from weeks of travel, visiting a few sights per day. I just load my photos onto my PC, begin the Geotag GPX file with the PC application and sidecar files magically appear in seconds. Geotag has also allowed me to move completely to Capture One from Lightroom as C1 doesn't let editing GPS directly, but it uses the sidecar files. Lightroom players can load the Geotag Images GPX file into Lighroom directly. Kudos …6 Stars!
