About the application:

The 2020 Football Deluxe product includes 8 plays to highlight officials’ duties and responsibilities, over 100 rule references animations, and 7 evaluation scenarios. The plays include mechanics for squad sizes of 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. Extra guidelines and evaluations will be added as updates. Officials Mechanics: 8 plays (Kickoff, Onside Kick, Punt, Field Goal, Long Pass, Run Up the Middle, Goal Line Going In, and Goal Line Going Out) show the proper positioning and fields of view of the officials as these plays evolve. You will also see the duties and responsibilities of each official as extracted from different sources and best practices. Rules: The tool presents an animation to assist understand the rule. Some guidelines are presented to present variations of the rule and some contain animations demonstrating “this is/this is not” kind comparisons. Guidelines can be viewed in an alphabetical list or in a rule ebook view. Evaluations: Scenarios are provided to exercise the officials’ knowledge of guidelines and penalty enforcement. The play will be presented; you will see which official threw the flag(s); and a series of questions will be presented regarding enforcement. A score will be generated and incorrect responses will be indicated along with references.
