About the application:

GlobeViewer Mars is an interactive and three-dimensional map of the entire surface of Mars. This 3D map shows all of the official designations for different surface features. If you are interested in a specific region, an even higher resolution 3D map view can be loaded to take a closer look at the craters, grooves and another features. With the fresh 0.4 ver we present the landing region of NASA's Mars2020 mission. The landing website of the rover Perseverance was created possible by using HiRISE data from the Mars Global Observer. Here you can see the surrounding place of the rover. In addition, you can increase the heights in the 3D map in order to receive an even better impression of the height gradients. Take a quiet look at the surroundings. As soon as the rover starts moving, we will tag the route on this map. Also a mission log of all martian missions since 1960 has been added. In Ver 0.5.0 we changed the height color textures for more contrast - so more info will be visible on the surface. We hope you have fun exploring the Jezero crater virtually.
