About the application:

GridMaster provides a graphical player interface and artificial enemies for the mini game of Go (Igo, Baduk, Weiqi). It includes a full featured SGF reader/editor, a lite ver of the 9x9 Olympic Winner Go tool Steenvreter (it also plays larger boards), and a Go Text Protocol (GTP) interface to connect another gtp-compatible engine (more enemies can be downloaded/added). It can be used as a program to play, study Joseki, solve Go issues, create diagrams, annotate mini games, etc. If you are fresh to the mini game of Go, an introduction as well as some links to more info is included in the help. Here's a non-exhaustive list of features: - Full featured SGF reader/editor (perhaps the only Android device apk to help all properties in SGF4) - Contains a fairly powerful artificial enemy (Steenvreter lite, level configurable) - Help for ARM and Intel cpu's - Ability to add another bots such as Leela Zero, GnuGo, Pachi, or your own GTP engine (for assist installing Leela Zero see http://gridmaster.tengen.nl/howto/add_leela_zero.html) - Program for reviewing mini games (simple to rate moves/states, add comments, links, mini game details, etc.) - Setup *any* position (including illegal ones, e.g., for demonstration purposes) - Quickly opens really big SGF files such as Kogo's Joseki Dictionary - Supports all rectangular board sizes up to 52x52 - Advices at start-up (can be turned off) - Accurate stone placement even on little screens - Correct wrong input by shifting stones - Zoom in to present only some part of the board (by pinching) - Zoom out to present the mini game tree - Quick navigation through the mini game tree (button push+slide action) - Auto-replay mini games at configurable rate (long-click forward to begin). - Collection help (i.e., multiple mini game trees in one file) - Share option - Export to photo file - Copy-paste variations/games (also between apks as sgf text) - Configurable guidelines (Chinese / Japanese) - Configurable timing (Absolute / Canadian / Japanese / Stopwatch) - Configurable sound for stone placement & clock - Different graphics options (configurable in settings) - Full screen portrait & landscape modes - Indicate latest and/or next move - Extensive assist, contains an introduction to Go - Optional debug tab shows GTP streams (the communication between GUI and engine), guidelines problems, and provides option to send gtp commands manually (double-tap to pop up dialog). Some crooks are actively manipulating the ratings, and Google provides no means for developers like me to war it. Sure I should join the fight, buy fake likes, drop fake 1-star reviews on competitors, waste cash on advertisement campaigns, etc., but this is just a hobby for me and it could remain fun! I understand some of you may wish to be more nuanced, and I do also appreciate 4-star ratings, but please message that they don't assist much; the awful guys give very low ratings, and currently even 4 stars pull the rank down, so the only true assist comes from 5-star ratings and sensible review comments.
