  Greg Davids: Works good on Nexus 10 Perfect application. With this apk my Nexus 10 has excellent control of our Simrad NSS8. No discernable lag time beyond what is inherent in the NSS8. The video photo does present some signs of compression, but nothing that gets in the method of seeing what you need to see.

  Steve Shortt: Works well for what it's intended for. Having a rum in the aircon plotting my next days route and adding waypoints from the comfort of aircon. The apk isn't intended to run autopilot through as that would be risky.. Think about it.. The Lowrance or Simrad MFD runs 1000x faster than a smartphone over WiFi. If you wish to place your life in the hands of Samsung or Apple be my guest.. No the apk won't allow you control the sounder via mobile smartphone.. The screen is too little and doesn't have the processing power. Works well.. Can even record your sounder screen off a smartphone.. Beautiful cool! 😎

  Nicholas Kreucher: good! works good on Nexus 9. very handy to access functions and setup chart info in comfort of the cabin. ----- want it allowed autopilot control -- would be a good security feature to control autopilot when another territories on deck (example when under dodger to shelter from weather). an unfortunate industry standard that it is locked out in US, so not deducting a star for this.

  Bob Hughes: I had to manually enter IP address of the Vulcan 7 in the apk (the apk did not auto explore the chartplotter). After that I can do everything on my smartphone that I can do on the chartplotter. Absolutely an good apk! Samsung Galaxy Tab A and B&G Vulcan 7, no autopilot.

  Works good! Works awesome on my S5, but it really shines on my x10 smartphone. I can control all functions on my elite ti, the only thing you can't control is navigation/XI5. It will save me a lot of cash not having to buy other unit for the bow of my boat!

  This worked on a samsung smartphone and Acer smartphone as advertised. However it won't load on an andriod vehicle radio running #6. The wireless connection connection can be created but loading the apk appears to reboot the radio. I'm using the radio as an entertainment center, running CPN and would like to run go gratis as well

  Marty Epperly: I have a mixed opinion. The apk works ok on my ipad4 with my Lowrance Elite 5Ti, but I can't use the iPad on hot days in the sun. I loaded the apk on my fresh galaxy s8, but I can only view the screen. I cannot control the unit from my smartphone, like I can on my iPad. We could be satisfied it's a gratis apk.

  Stuart Eastland: Often have issues connecting using my Android device smartphone. Don't understand why the apk locks down the menus for phones which may have larger screens than some MFD such as Vulcan 5. I would like to have full functionality on my 5.5" smartphone as I do on my 7" smartphone.

  Hillary Sillitto: This apk works very well when it works. However, the display freezes, every 1 hour 12 mins 50 seconds, almost to the second, round the clock. This is a critical problem, as it isn't obvious that it has frozen, unless you look carefully at the numbers, so squad may continue to rely on the displayed info when it is no longer valid. It always seems to freeze just as we are approaching a critical manoeuvre. It is independent of how long the device has been on. It happens at exactly the same time on a fresh Lenovo smartphone and a three year old Motorola Moto G smartphone. It doesn't happen on the iOS ver. So it seems beautiful clear that the trouble is in the Android device apk. Why is this event? Do Navico know about it? When is the fix coming out?

  This apk as stated does not let for control of auto-pilot functionality. This sucks especially when you have invested heavily into an outboard pilot and a trolling motor. Lacking the ability to control these from a smartphone is ridiculous. I'm looking for a method to reverse engineer this apk so that these functions are accessible. The apk is coded to specifically $lockmessage the auto-pilot functions. Hence the code must be inside the actual chartplotter so now I'm looking for a method to access the code inside the chartplotter so I can copy and paste the appropriate bits back into the apk.

  Brett Bell: Useless really Won't connect to the smartphone directly. Only mirrors the screen and can't even control it. Really completly pointless and useless. Raymarine have it correct allowing you to control your plotter AND use your smartphone as an additional screen for differant views. Run it on a smartphone and you atleast have some control. What are they thinking with this???

  Gary Jorgensen: Despite the claim about Android device 7, it is completely broken on niugat. The apk crashes without allowing you to choose a plotter. Verified it works ok on an iPad on the same boat. This could probably be taken down until actually fixed.

  Darren Bender: I have a blank screen on my Galaxy Tab with the menu bar across the top. I have control over my HDS9 but it doesn't do much awesome when I can't see what I'm doing on the smartphone. Looks like this apk needs some serious bug fixes.
