  A Google User: Simple and easy synching of files between Sony Smartphone and PC (also Mac) Works like a dream over wireless connection for backing my smartphone up to my PC. After the first sync, it backs up only the changes. You can create it a one method backup or 2 way.You can see all the files on the PC (it is not in an inaccessible container) and you can tell it not to back up certain files as well. Rock solid, reliable apk from one of the best apk developers. In other league compared to the buggy smartphone backup apk from Sony. Well worth the investment in the desktop apk. I highly suggest Goodsync. I have been using it to sync files to and from USB drives, and for backups on my PC for at least 8 years. (I also use and RoboForm for passwords - also a good very reliable apk).

  Dana Longever: After first backup can backup changes in 10-20 mins. I cheated on first backup by putting SDcard in reader and copied to destination folder on PC. Can use smartphone while it works in background. Works good.

  A Google User: Backs up and syncs everything Installed on my nexus 4 and nexus 7, I can back up what I wish over WiFi. Or I can use goodsync explorer on my desktop to browse all my folders from 0 on down. I do have to remember that it connects over WiFi not by usb and to turn it on, and off afterwards but that is a little price to pay.

  A Google User: Glad I discovered this but... I have been using GoodSync for years and it is the excellent application for backups, and just discovered this apk on a visit to the Goodsync website and seeing the "google play" icon... it wasn't obvious, but glad I found it. It would be ideal if there was a method to plug an external drive directly to the android device device and sync without need of a desktop. This would be like what the desktops are able to do. Maybe I am just missing something?

  A Google User: Easy but effective I found this apk after Windows Live Mesh was abandoned by Microsoft. Pros: You can automatically sync/backup/share files between your Android device devices and PCs and it's FREE!!! (you will have to buy the PC apk after 30 days but it's a one time $30 charge w/no monthly fees if you don't need cloud storage on their servers. You can create your own "private cloud" by automatically making extra copies of necessary files for redundancy and file backup/protection). Cons: Interface seems easy and limited - see modernize below. Modernize: Changing from 4 to 5 stars. After playing with it more on the PC I found I can browse, open/view, copy, delete, upload/download files/folders on my Galaxy SII using the GSExplorer on the PC. What's lacking in the Android device apk interface is more than created up for in the PC interface. It looks like you should use this apk for a lot of purposes including melody sync (which I haven't tried yet).

  A Google User: Doesn't work with KitKat, but root can save the day This was not working with my Galaxy Tab S with KitKat (4.4.2). While the developer could institute a workaround (such as the one ES File Explorer uses), there is hope . If you root and then run an apk such as "SDFix: KitKat Writable MicroSD", it will be able to sync as normal. I personally rooted just for this purpose.

  A Google User: Universal synching is here I just synched with my S3 and Samsung 10 inch smartphone. So easy and it even got to the elusive extsd cards. At latest a easy reliable way. Used and paid for Awesome sync for years on PCs to backup melody and images. Never failed. I have tried another (gratis) products but always go back for GS. Roboform is from the same company and that is unbelievable too. It cannot replace Isyncr for iTunes playlists so that stays as well.

  A Google User: Nexus 7 sync This is the only apk that allowed properly to sync files with my Nexus 7. Nexus family of tablets/phones, to my opinion, has an internal flaw with file timestamps. If you copy (from PC to Nexus) a file made a year ago, Nexus will always consider it as made during the current copy procedure. There are countless posts on this problem with players not able to receive their files, pictures, etc. in order. Without proper synchronization, Nexus is basically a toy for movie viewing or a convenient program to check e-mails. If you wish to do some work while travelling, you need proper synchronization and GoodSync comes close to it. Although it does not resolve problem with timestamps on Nexus, GoodSync keeps track of file modifications and would synchronize them correctly.

  A Google User: Quick synch over wireless connection This apk requires GoodSync which is not gratis but completely worth the price. Keeps a lot of desktop and laptop folders in synch, and now mobile device folders as well.
