  Colin Shaper: Reliable and friendly I have been using HanDBase since the heyday of the Palm, through S60, IOS and now Android device. The apk has proved reliable and adaptable and I cannot imagine not having it accessible. I also use the desktop add-on Setting up databases and altering their fields and parameters is straight-forward and intuitive and the player is able to import and export data to/from external files. Another versions of the database did have a 'forms' ability, which I used on my Palm. Amazingly simple to spend hours tweaking something that works ok :-) When the IOS apk first came out, this facility was not accessible but I got used to not having it quite quickly. The simple screen scrolling of the iPhone to some extent mitigated versus this absence, and the same applies to Android device. I guess if forms became accessible I would use them, but the apk is perfectly usable without. Help is very prompt and helpful. On the odd opportunity when I have asked for tip, this has taken a day to appear, but given the difference in our time-zones, I regard this as perfect service. All in all, an perfect database application.

  Dean Palmer: Good apk I've been using this apk on different platforms for 5 years to track my inpatients and to bill.   Darcy Hannibal: Slim and quick like the palm ver I work in a research lab that has been using this tool for years to collect data. We've used Palm devices for much of that time and more recently used itouches. The itouches, however are massive with animated graphics and colors that slowed the speed of data collection. I am grateful Dave kept the Android device ver easy. I've inspected it on one android device device and it works much faster than the itouch ver. We will now be replacing all our Palm devices with androids. Thanks Dave for making this possible!

  David Burns: A long time favorite - quick fix for 1/1 bug I've used Handbase on Palm, Windows Mobile, IOS and Android device and it keeps getting better and better. Earlier Android device versions were a bit rough and light on features, but with the latest few updates, it's slick, solid and loaded with features. The fast response to the 1/1 bug demonstrates the level of help for the product. The ideal database for portable devices and cross platform help up through the PC level makes it very scalable.

  A Google User: Feels like a very professional piece of tool Wanted something like SprintDB pro for my wife's android device smartphone ( we had used victory 6.1 mobiles till recently ). The developer is very upfront and realistic about the cost and business risk of developing forms for the android device platform but, in fact, after only 10 minutes with this apk and a demo of the desktop s/ware, I managed to be able to do 90% of what I required with our access db import from the pc. The find by filter on the primary imported source tables is very slick and the whole feel of the apk is very awesome. I have tried demo's of some apks that claim that they can sync with access but gave up in all cases since I couldn't receive them to work after an hour or two. In some methods it is a shame that microsoft dropped windows mobile and then are still p***g around trying to begin window smartphone 8 - albeit with a limited no of platforms. Android device looks like the method but it is a pain trying to reproduce what we need ( outlook, dB, mail office etc ) on this platform. My only comment is that I hesitated trying this for some time because of the lack of a time limited demo on the android device - OK its not much but when you're assessing apks, it can mount up.

  Caryn Eve Murray: A wise investment! This is one of the few apks I've actually ever paid for, and I couldn't have spent my dollars more wisely. I've been using one or other ver of HandBase since its earliest iterations for the Palm IIIxe (remember those?) - and when I created the move to Android device I wondered if it would prove as sturdy and reliable as it had been on the Palm, especially since I am no longer using a computer Desktop component for sync'ing. I could not have been surprised - HandBase is as robust, versatile, easily customizable and steady a tool as it has always been. Tech help is also responsive and helpful. When the latest unexpected death of my Galaxy S3 left me completely unprepared for the loss of a few databases and templates, I was guided well into reconstructing and recovering what I should - and given TWO options in how to do it (the choice was mine). I like having the flexibility to do extreme customization for my databases but I also like knowing that tech help has my back and wants me to succeed in using this apk. I can't imagine NOT using it, and each day I search more methods to incorporate its record-keeping into simplifying my life.
