  Ben S: Well the sound effects are spot on for a normal cloth or felt board. Nobody else compares. You can almost feel the roll of the dice. 5 stars for that. But in single play mode the AI (artificial interface)is simply horrible. It will roll itself 3 doubles in a row quite often, but never the same numbers. Then it will give me the same roll, say 4:3 3 times in a row. Plus in normal single user mode it will create the most brilliant moves right up until the end round when it's just a race to receive the pieces off the board and it makes the stupidest moves that not even rookies create. For instance the AI side is full for the most part. It has 4 chips in the #2 spot and say 2 in the #6 and 2 in the #5. It will roll double twos but instead of emptying the # 2 spot to gain a large lead, it will move 2 pieces off the #6 spot 2 territories and 2 pieces on the #5 spot two territories. The AI here is absolutely horrid. At the end of one mini game alone I logged my latest 10 rolls of the dice :5:4 5:1 5:1 5:3 5:2 5:1 5:3 5:3 5:1 5:2 just a horrid AI. Then I dug into the mini game filed and looked at the error logs, 132 errors in the numbers (dice rolls) But to be honest, I've tried about 6 another backgammon apks. The AI on those are horrible as well. But the sound and mini game play on those are unbelievably horrid whereas This apk stands out. Bottom line :good graphics and sound quality. AI IS AS HORRIBLE AS THE REST for single user. There's no sense in trusting the AI in either single, two user or online play.

  A Google User: Hardwood Backgammon Good graphics..plays well...too well...it ALWAYS gets the dice roll it needs! As a systems analyst and statistician I say the "random" roll generator is NOT so random...it gets TOO a lot of doubles AND the doubles it needs. It gets THE best rolls while giving me the lousiest rolls. Another than that, it's one of the best backgammon apks. Maybe I could stick with chess. At least it's an honest mini game! Rondohr

  Graham Falkenberg: Watch out. There's no save mini game, even when playing the computer. The only method to complete a competition is in one sitting. Not practical for a mobile apk. Otherwise very awesome, but no save mini game is a deal breaker.
