With this APP and the recent updates for Android device devices, WMC can be retired in a lot of homes, and when they release the next modernize to let DVR on DRM, outdated WMC can be retired by all. This APP allows me to save on my cable subscription by not having to rent the cable company's equipment. Good job SiliconDust!

The ability to locate the Connect and Antenna where it can keep the best reception, gives us 70 gratis OTA channels anywhere we have our Android device TV devices. It contains a 24 hour EPG tool tutorial. A yearly subscription to their DVR service averages less than $3 a month, and adds a full 14 day tutorial. If you own a 500 GB USB drive, with their DVR service you can attach it directly to Android device TV USB port to shop your recordings. No need to be a techie magician to set this up.

  Kevin Pologruto: I use this with all of my TVs using Nexus users. I tried Fire sticks but they were laggy. Not a silicon dust trouble but a hardware trouble. I run the server on a WD my cloud server. Works very well. So satisfied to not have to rent boxes. Are there problems? Sure, but I am sure silicon dust will take care of the audio sync problems that arise at times and the tutorial. I really with the tutorial was more like live channels. Good work!

  Ronnie Bailey: Been using HDHomeRun OTA tuners for years, before "cord cutting" was the IN thing. They seem to never die, they just sit in obscurity doing their job bring me my live TV streams. I have used an assortment of DVR backends using these tuners. Two or three years ago, SiliconDust, started there own DVR service, and have been continually improving upon it. I slowly migrated to there DVR service as they solved the problems that popped up. As an OTA (antenna) player, this apk has worked good for me. For people that still subscribe to cable services, the were not able to use the Android device apk for their DRM channels. Well, SiliconDust finally created live streaming from those live DRM streams, happen. Still no DVR'ing for those DRM channels, but SD assures those players that the DVR is coming. Have to go with 5 stars, especially for those that use an external antennas for terrestrial TV signals.

  ACB Entertainment: I got an HDHomeRun Connect and for a while I watched TV exclusively on my Win7 PC & Windows Media Center. Eventually I installed this apk on my Samsung smartphone and it works GREAT! The only thing easier than hooking up the Connect box and turning it on was installing and using this apk - which took all of about 90 seconds. I place it on my Android device cell smartphone too. I never use my PC anymore, and I hardly ever even bother to turn on my TV! Super simple to use too!

  Chad Nace: I have no issues after or before modernize no my Note 8. My Amazon fire television 4k "fresh dongle model" on my Lg 4k television has no issues and it is Wireless connection only. My another Amazon fire television 4k "old ver non-dongle" on my another Lg 4k television looks a tiny jumpy at times and is hard wired. I trust it has to do with fresh fire television dongle is 60 fps and the older fire television non-dongle is only 30 fps. It is not my internet speed, have fios gigabit. House is wired and all network is gigabit. Hope this helps. Love Hdhomerun and can not wait till I receive the DVR!!!!!

  Robbie Harper: This is a good apk for watching live TV locally. It is not intended for remote play, use Plex or Emby for that. It plays the native stream from the broadcast, so of course it doesn't use codecs like Netflix.
