At RemindMecare we trust that to care for someone well you need to know them well. Our apk ReMe provides family, mates, nurses and another formal carers with easy and rewarding private activities that entertain whilst also building a vault of meaningful private info. Together you discover pictures, melody and video, collecting favourites along the method. It’s fun to use and most importantly, it’s a secure put to shop and share info that really matters to the person being cared for. We built ReMe after witnessing young family members unable to create a connection with relatives. Since then, we’ve worked with people living with dementia, learning disabilities and senior care services to develop a rewarding means to build understanding between various generations, cultures and backgrounds, always keeping the person cared for and their loved ones in control of the private info we call Electronic Life Records (ELR; life story, likes/dislikes, preferences, moods, routines, habits, and of course memories). When the time comes to introduce fresh carers or move to a fresh care setting, ReMe is there to introduce the experiences, interests and background that are special to the individual in their charge to the fresh carers. ReMe helps show the person rather than a list of symptoms. Our tool is currently used in care homes, day care centres and memory clinics and is [June 2018] in formal trials in the NHS in the UK at Kingston Hospital to evaluate how knowledge of the individual can impact on prescribed levels of reducing medication and the length of stay in acute wards. RemindMecare services are provided gratis to the public whilst any formal care organisation that you invite to access the info pays a little fee. If you select to make batter to our bonus services, through in-app purchases, you can collaborate with another family and carers using shared calendars to provide reminders and hold the right people up to date. You can even use a smart speaker like Amazon’s Alexa or Google Home to engage the individual when they are alone, using ReMe’s stored info to entertain and delight, as well as provide medication, hydration and scheduling alerts. RemindMecare won’t solve all your care needs, but it will address the most necessary part; achieving engagement through knowing the person. With knowledge comes understanding, empathy and better care. ReMe is your best method to record, safeguard and share what matters.
