Track and report Heritage troops (locomotives) and another unique interest troops for Norfolk Southern, Union Pacific, CSX, BNSF and another railroads. Features: • View reported locomotives within a configured mile radius of your devices place. • Report a fresh locomotive place directly from the apk • View locomotives on google maps • Setup android device notifications to alert you when a newly reported locomotive has been recorded on the website. All recorded locomotive info is provided by volunteers using native apks and site (https://heritageunits.com) If you need assistance, please go to https://www.heritageunits.com/main/contact Explanation of why different permissions are required: • The "Place" permission is needed so that the apk can determine your place to search locomotives near you, help during recording a fresh report and center the map on your position. The apk first attempts to determine your place via the network, if that fails the apk then tries to determine your place via GPS. • The "Wi-Fi connection info" permission is required so that the apk can determine whether or not Wi-Fi is enabled and whether the apk is currently using that connection. • The "Device ID & call info" permission is required by the apk (but only if your device is running Android device 2.x or higher). Thomas Boyer Railfan Productions: I have used this apk and the site for railfanning for over 2 years now, both trackside and for webcams. It is very helpful, but not all the time, thanks to jerks who wish to post fake reports, which is a large downside for HeritageUnits. Overall, it is a good apk. I like how you can pick certain locomotives to track in the "Recent Places" section (actual heritage troops, BNSF Warbonnets, CSX emblem troops, etc). Very useful apk.
