About the application:

Point your camera at a hill, village, lake or landmark on the horizon and Horizon Explorer will tell you what you're aiming at. Name, distance, altitude and map of the pointed at landmark will be displayed. Hill Peak markers are overlaid on the view with Augmented Reality. Fly up high and see the terrain laid out below you to see what is over the hills around you, and receive the lay of the land, then see the scale-model 3D map that you can walk around to search out what's behind hills, or discover the terrain for anywhere in the world. Horizon Explorer works worldwide, but works best on top of a hill with an unobstructed view of your surroundings. You can drag the horizon line with your finger to line up with the camera if the automatic tracking is not working very well. Or test waving your smartphone around in the air in a figure 8 to calibrate the compass. This apk does not currently do notifications, adverts or run in the background. More features including tourism augmented reality markers & details coming soon! This apk uses Google's ARCore to do augmented reality. This technology is currently only accessible on Google Pixel, Pixel 2 (+XL versions), Samsung Galaxy S7 & S8 & Note 8, LG V30, V30+, and OnePlus 5. If you don't already have the recent ARCore apk installed, you will be prompted to install / modernize it from the Play Shop when you first begin Horizon Explorer.
