  P C Hanes: Give me back the old Houston Place Digital Media Catalog. This apk is not particularly friendly or the HPL has done away with most of its reading material. There appears to be a awesome selection of TV series but the strict limit for a month is low. I would binge watch an entire season but can't because of the limit. Film selection is scattered, mainly children's movies, not much to interest me, and I am easily entertained. I am really disappointed by the limitations of the apk & the awful selection.

  Emily Robinson: The apk is functional but limited and slow. For instance, you can put holds easily, but it does not give you the status of your keep (in transit, pending, etc) and you cannot suspend holds. Update:4/12/23 you can now suspend holds in thr apk, and it gives you the status of your holds. Upgrading my rating!

  A Google user: DVD holds (A Star is Born) do not work on the fresh apk but work on the old. Error notice comes up saying "no stuff qualified for keep" on the fresh apk but the keep was successfully placed on the old apk immediately after. Edit: a technical modernize was pushed so it works now. Unfortunately it no longer allows me to log in even though I can through the site with no trouble.

  Katy “Marauding Missingno” Missingno: How the hell are E-books "checked out" and unavailable? What a large disappointment and royal waste of time and technology. When I finally thought they had an "accessible copy" 🙄 of the book I wanted, I got all excited, opened it...and the worthless thing was in other language. Time to go downloading pirated PDFs. I've already purchased this ebook years ago, I shouldn't have to re-buy it to read it once more, but Houston's library apk is WORTHLESS.

  A Google user: suspended holds really needs to be redone. it does not sync properly with libby - when I click a keep on my acc that's suspended, it'll either tell me I can put a keep on it (which I already have) or that I can immediately check it out even though I'm not even next in line per libby. Also want it would tell you # of days suspended. Would be nice to have the keep statuses improved (in general). I haven't tried placing a keep as I still prefer the older apk, more primary and to the point

  A Google user: Whereas the older HPL apk installs and works ok on my NOOK smartphone, Android device 8.1, this newer apk does not appear in the install list at all. Will the old apk become "broken" upon discontinuation on 4/1/2019, as per the on screen note on the old apk?
