On this reference background your precise position (GPS + smartphone and wireless connection interpolation) is shown. Every map displayed once is kept in the device and is accessible even with no network (off-line mode). All non-topographic maps and most ortophotos stay permanently free. NEW : since 2017-April-1 the provisional cache licence is included in the IGN annual primary licence. NEW: FREE world-wide coverage though OpenStreetMap/openCycleMap, Spain, Germany, Italy, Norwey, IGN-littoral, and others fresh maps from IGN. With V6, your IGN acc is synchronized with IphiGéNie, and a fresh transparent layer "slope > 30°" is available. IMPORTANT: Geoportail map service and resources are tied to a private subscription, recurring by default. See conditions below. The application installation is gratis and comes with 7 calendar days of gratis access to the service. Optional Amax module adds extended features but do not contain map subscription. In Apk Purchases: Amax option: This optional module, accessible through In Apk Purchase, add following features: • Waypoints management, with images: Add, file, annotate, export-import in GPX file format. • Tracks and route: Recording, manual creation and editing, following, export-import in GPX file format. • Automatic downloading of maps along a predefined track. • Find address or any toponym show on a map. Automatic creation of relevant waypoint. • "GPS beacon" feature: People you authorize, can follow your position on a detailed map, either on help web website on inside the application. No tracking is done unless you activate it. • Follow you mates beacon: Automatic modernize of followed positions. Very handful to search each another in the middle of nowhere or see how far are your fellows. Notes: • GPS "beacon": Warning, given the smartphone network nature et battery capacity, you could never engage safety on the availability of this feature. • GPS and battery lasting: the GPS is shut down when the application is sent to background, if there is no activated function requiring it (track recording, "GPS beacon"). Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery lasting. • While there is no English translation of the manual yet, English speaking players are more than welcome to ask any question in the English section of the forum on the help web website. • Recurring subscriptions to Geoportail map service - Yearly subscription. - Payment will be charged to Google Acc at confirmation of purchase - Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period - Acc will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. - Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user’s Acc Settings after purchase. - No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period - Any unused portion of the gratis trial period, will be forfeited when the player purchases a subscription to Geoportail map service.

Ludovic Seydoux: Yes, the ergonomics should be improved but functionality is BEST in CLASS, and the best I know for going hiking. So reliable I go for 7 days trek offline (mountains) without any paper map. (thank you solar panel). I use the paid ver (yearly fee 14Eur), so I can download the maps before departure : good ! One request still : the apk does not quit on my Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 : I need to force-quit, via parameter/apps/etc... to stop the GPS consumption Then may be 5 star !

murray Hamilton: awesome ap when it works which is not now. It wants cash and as I have already paid I am a bit hacked off. seems to be an ongoing trouble and IGN can't be bothered sorting it so I'd say I am being type with three stars. Now it is very hard to search a contact to sort this out. What a waste of time!

Pimouss Simpson: Awesome enought. It does the job, map are fine when you paid the 15€. The focus is juste really large and ugly, why don't you just place a red dot on the map? You can't load GPX file , you have to pay once more 5€ more to have something called Amax or Vmax, it's not very clear... Finally it's absolutely not player friendly... You have to be an IT engeneer to understand what it can do. Though it seems to be very powerfull and plenty of functionnality. That harder is to search, what are those functionnalities. But it's fine to hike when no network coverrage. edit: impossible to transfert application from an android device terminal to a fresh one. Ask the help for assist, but not very helpfull.
