How to begin a team: 1) Download the iRelay app. 2) Click “Squad” at the bottom of the apk 3) Click the “Register as a Squad Captain” box and fill in your team’s info. Save the joincode! This joincode number is what will let squad members to sign up on your squad. It will also be sent to the email you provide when registering. 4) Send the joincode number to your squad members so they can sign up on your squad. How to join a team: 1) Have the squad joincode sent by the squad captain. 2) Download the iRelay app. 3) Click “Squad” at the bottom of the apk. Instead of checking the “Register as a Squad Captain” box, enter in the team’s joincode. 4) The Team’s name could appear. Complete registration. Getting to know the iRelay app: Resources The Resources screen is where info about iRelay can be found, but a couple of sections to highlight are: Team captains can use the “Settings’ screen to contain a squad image or logo. Squad members can select how a lot of race similar notifications they would like to keep. The Leaderboard / Results, All Splits, and Squad Details screens provide various views of effect info. Squad The squad screen is divided into 3 tabs along the top - Media, Messages, and Badges. Media - Share pictures and short videos with your team! Messages - Encourage your squad members and tell them about your legs! Badges - Squads can share pictures and videos with each another as well and send team-wide comments and encouragements in the Media and Messages tab! Squad members will also view a dozens of badges they’ve earned along the method in the badges section. Course Course is divided into three tabs along the top of the screen - Course, Leg Track, and Completed. Course - This section is a view of the entire “virtual” TIR course. It is here that a player will be able to see how much progress into the TIR course the squad has created as well as another squads who may be “on the course” at the same time. Leg Track - This shows the current runner’s ACTUAL real-life course. Clicking the leg number bar at the bottom will reveal the current runner’s statistics. On the Leg Track screen, the current runner can see when they have finished their leg. Completed - This screen gives a synopsis of all the legs and clicking on the legs will review the “true life” courses completed and the running statistics for that leg. Timing Timing is sub-divided into Begin, Inputs, and Predictions. Begin - Only the squad captain can begin the squad, so they must coordinate with the Leg 1 runner to begin the squad and then have the leg 1 runner start when the “begin” button is clicked. Inputs - Only squad captains can designate the team’s running order on the inputs tab. If something comes up mid-race, squad captains can also change the order as required. Predictions - It is necessary for squad members to provide accurate race pace estimates when they register so that the future predictions of when squad members will run are fairly accurate. The predictions tab is where squad members can see the estimate of when future exchanges will likely take put. How to run iRelay: - Run with your smartphone (and hold it charged)! - Hold track of your teammates using the apk. - Be prepared and ready to go as the runner before you finishes. Your time starts immediately whether you are ready or not. Once squad members understand the apk, and the squad has determined the begin time… then it will be related to every another relay! It will be time to execute to the plan, and if something doesn’t go exactly right, hold on running, encourage one other and victory anyway! You’ll have a set window of time in which to run the relay (usually a week or two) to automatically be included in the results for a particular happening, but you may elect to run a course at any time.
