aposaric: I have purchased the commercial ver and I have used it on a sailing trip this week from Marseille to Croatia ( 1100 NM ) and I am quite happy. I work as a professional skipper and there are some places for improvement in sailing mode; 1. Engine hours on waypoints, Starboard and Port engine hours and oil levels. 2. Stb/port engine changes. 3. Add a 2 hour intervals between waypoints so GPS can be off in the meantime to conserve the smartphone battery consumption even further 😉 4. Add a easy engine fuel consumption tab; example: Engine model : Volvo D2-55, liers per hour, so it calculates the remaining fuel on waypoints. Thank you very much, makes hourly manual logging a thing off a past 😉

Bob Hazell: I have been using this apk for the latest 3 years as an electronic log on our sailing yacht from Thailand to Denmark. It is perfect in tracking the course, and having exported the route into Google Earth, to then be able to save and export, and then use in Powerpoint in presentations we create to sailing clubs. We still use a written log, and for lat long in an instant that is essential, but for a record of trips and routes, this apk is perfect

Steve Hazael: A must have application for sailing.. anywhere. Well thought out, leaves all the others in the dark. One recommendation. It needs an anchor ⚓ watch function. I've dragged anchor in 30+ knot gusts this year. Now I begin a fresh trip on arrival at an anchorage without starting automatic logging, manually entering waypoints periodically via "+" on the map tab/screen, then convert nm to metres externally to see how I've moved from the previous WP. If this should be done automatically with a klaxon alarm to sound when xx metres is exceeded... it would be very helpful.

Glen Eich: There seems to be no method to set the directory this apk uses to shop files. So far, this is my only objection. The response given below can not be real. I have numerous apks on my "unrooted" android device that have settings allowing me to specify any folder, including folders on my sdcard as the default storage folder for the apk.

wood land Nut: bought it to help the author and hope he will help gratis vector offline maps like osmand and mapforge maps. Would even be better if it went begin source. Daniel Wolff: LD-Log Very awesome apk, but I tried to contact the developer a few times by email with some questions and my emails were always rejected.. 1) I am trying to generate a trip report for use in another tool, spreadsheet would be best, but I am not sure how. The trip is saved in LD-Log, Ic an see it on the Trip tab as well as on the Routes tab and the Route tab. All the waypoints are listed on the Waypoint tab. The menu on the bottom of the screen, no matter which tab I chosen shows only the following options: Begin Logging Log Setting Take Single Waypoint Fresh Trip Fresh Route Initialize GPS Settings Where can I search the option to generate a trip report? 2) the same question for generating a list of waypoints/Route in GPX format? I looked on the Storage of the smartphone and couldn't search any file similar to LD-Log.
