NEW UPDATE! -GAMEPAD SUPPORT (most Bluetooth and USB gamepads could work ok). -Redefine and configure the controls at any time from the MAP screen (both gamepad and touch controls). You can also change the size of the touch control. This is a port of a Steam PC mini game. It has no micro-payments. Remake of the 8 bits MSX2 mini game of the same name, with a 16 bits look. Genre: Metroidvania (2D Metroid/Castlevania style) with RPG elements. Explore, investigate, search improvements for your suit, search weapons, make batter your weapons in workshops, war unbelievable mutants... Discover what happened in the first martian colony. Story: Earth has lost contact with the only colony in mars; a scientific colony established to research the existence of life in the frozen waters of Mars. You will be sent to the planet’s surface with the mission to restore contact with the colony and search out what happened. Inspired in the 80’s and 90’s sci-fi horror films, Life on Mars is an old-school mini game with old school graphics and very addictive playability which will create you feel once more the things you only felt 2 or 3 decades ago. Features: -4 difficulty levels: The easier modes can be enjoyed as a “run and gun” type of mini game, while the normal and mostly, the hardest level, will create you play it as a true survival mini game, where every hit counts. -Weapons and abilities: You will begin with a single rifle, but you will be able to search weapons such as a grenade launcher, a flame thrower, a machine gun and plastic explosives. There are also abilities for your suit, such as the double jump and the run ability. -Shield and energy improvements: You will search modules to extend your maximum amount of shield or your maximum amount energy for your weapons and abilities. -Energy system: Instead of an ammunition system, the mini game uses an energy bar system which decreases with every weapon or ability you use, but it recharges automatically over time. -Energy cells and workshops: You will search energy cells around the map or after defeating opponents. You can use those energy cells in workshops scattered all over the colony to make batter some weapons or your energy generator, so your energy bar reloads faster. You can also farm for energy cells by revisiting previous places for as long as you wish. There is no limit on the make batter system, so you can end up with incredibly strong weapons, so no matter how difficult the mini game gets for you, you can farm and make batter your weapons to the point where you have no rival. You have a primary map of the colony which shows your place. You can use it to search secret places in the colony. -Non linear mini game style: You can re-visit any place of the colony and use your fresh weapons and abilities to access rooms or places you should not before, so you might search power ups or weapons. Also, further on the mini game you can do a few objectives in any order you like. Who doesn’t like explosions? There are LOTS of explosions! A large part of the addictive playability is due to the fact that there is a very elaborate combo system with the explosions, chain reactions, friendly fire, etc. It is really advised for the user to master the explosions dynamics early in the mini game to create use of them efficiently and improve the mini game experience. Matthew Dreyfus: Fine I need assist dev. The only thing stopping this from a excellent rating is my controller problem. I have a Samsung s7 edge and I played the mini game when it first released and ran good. I tried once more since you released gamepad help and I am having severe performance problems. Very slow and lags. I am using the MOGA 2 controller in HID mode. I want I had other controller to try with but this is all I got. Do you know anything I can test?? I love this mini game!! Modernize: it was the stupid moga companion apk causing the problems! Read some advices online and Uninstalled moga pivot and it works good! Thanks dev for reaching out to me. Gley Riviery: I never heard about that mini game until a few months ago, when I've started to research awesome metroidvania mini games on Android device. Then Life on Mars Makeover appears: attractive graphics, addictive video test and a easy but interesting storyline makes this mini game the excellent match for those looking for a Metroid equivalent on your mobile smartphone. That's a lot of (not boring) backtracking and the weapons and habilities evolve differently according to your choices. Maybe the map should be bigger, but it's the original game's trouble. The dev here created a unbelievable port making this a no-brainer. In fact, I could take off one star because the touch controls are not awesome (a gamepad is much suggested), but I will not; for me, any port of PC mini games will suffer from that.

Paulo Oliveira: I love metroidvanias, and this one is a blast! Loved it so much! BUT... The controls are awful. I'm stuck, because now, every button I press create the guy jump, shoot, fire grenades and the flamethrower ALL AT ONCE! It's unplayable now. Tried to redefine the touch controls, but to no avail. Please, fix this.

A Google User: REALLY SURPRISING considering it is an indie mini game. it It should very well be a psx mini game from the 90's the controls are as awesome as they can be for a touch device. I saw the mini game is on Steam as well so this is a port from a pc mini game. not awful!

Abhisek Sharma: Awful touchscreen controls create this unplayable without a controller. I don't own a controller. Also, I'm uncertain as to whether my mobile supports controllers. It's really old. Guess I'm gonna have to pass on this one. It's a shame. I really like the survival horror genre. I loved dead place mobile, by the method.
