There are high resolution maps of both sides of the moon as well as geological survey maps, apollo era maps, and a lot of more. All maps have the ability to simply touch an object of interest and receive all the info you need about it. A must have apk for anyone who is interested in Earth's nearest neighbour.

  A Google user: By far the best android device moon apk I've seen for use with a telescope. May replace my Rukl atlas. Recommendations: add the ability to present terminator at dates and times in the future...add librations for terminator accuracy...incorporate USGS Geologic Map of the Moon.

  Ellen Papenburg: Very awesome to search the names of features (craters, domes, rilles, valleys, ghost craters, etc) you're looking at. Gives you settings for viewing through various scopes, i.e. upside down, mirror photo etc, so you don't have to fiddle with it. Having it live with you at the scope is an asset to check that illusive feature right away. Hard to do with a large physical moon atlas! To top it off LunarMap HD gives you more detail! And in various maps with normal hi res colour, false colour, topographic etc. Even for the far side. Also room for libration features (they should be a bit better pronounced). The only drawback is, it doesn't recognize the maps on the SD card instead of the internal smartphone one. Too awful because the internal smartphone card is very limited in place...

  Malcolm G: This is good, but in using it I found one thing not working right, and that is the distance scale slide values are off by an order of magnitude. Copernicus is depicted as only about 10km across, rather than the actual 100km. Otherwise a awesome apk.

  Terry Cooper: As an amateur astronomer, I search Lunar HD a good adjunct with my observing sessions. Much better than a paper map. Finding a particular lunar feature with the find feature is a snap. Will have fun looking at the moon much more now. Indispensable.

  A Google user: Everyap you should wish and a lot of more. The detail is gorgeous and labelling is clear. It appears that everything is held on a web website and this apk accesses it so at times it is a bit slow to answer. Find facilities are awesome but not completely comprehensive: I wanted to search the Apollo landing websites but Apollo in the find only finds the feature named after Apollo missions on the far side. To sum up: a good worth the 63p I paid.

  zeeshan roohullah: I loved the lite ver, so I purchased the HD ver too. No doubt it is good! But the main reason for which I purchased the HD ver was that I wanted to see the terminator in true time, which comes across as a bland thin outline over the moon in this app...it was a disappointment. I had expected that the terminator would actually divide the moon into night and day halves.. Request the developers to present the exact phase of the moon in true time, that would be good!!

  NICK HILL: This is an good apk only allow down by the fact it only has a easy line for the terminator. Had there been an option to select between phase or the easy line this apk would have got 5 stars. I just hope an modernize will be able to fix this as there would be no single better moon apk to have.
