  Teresa The Smarthouse Consultant: Fabulous Apk - I use it all the time! So I will admit - that I do design & tool RadioRA®2 systems so this review might be a tad bit biased. But I run this system in my own home & office. And even though I have keypads all over my house that I use all the time. Sometimes it is just easier to click the apk on my smartphone and do what I need to do. Yes - I guess it is a bit lazy but after a long day at work - I just wish to relax. This apk allows me to do just that. Works perfectly on my Samsung Note II. Wish to add this convenience to your life - check out RadioRA®2 Starter Kits on eBay.

  Bruce Ramm: Remote login does work. Apk help second to none Even after calling help system can't be found to setup remote login. So much for a gratis trial. All fixed via apk help through email. AAA in my ebook.

  A Google User: Barely worked with my Droid 2... ***Edit to my initial review which was the tool did not work properly*** After contacting Lutron's hardware help and working with my installer, we figured out the default username and password on the RA2 repeater did not work. My installer made another usernames and passwords on the RA2 repeater and I should connect to the system then. If you are having an problem connecting, ask whoever installed the system to make other username and password and test to connect using those fresh credentials. Once I should connect, I should run the tool and it's a lot faster than on my old Droid 2. I can control all my lights the method I wish to now.

  A Google User: Works good! I would like to be able to control the system outside my LAN. Also, I would like the option to make a custom "home" page within the apk. Finally, please take advantage of Andoid Widgets! I would LOVE to have widgets for scenes and temperature control on my home page.

  Gary Rogers: I'd do 5 if not for telnet and additional 60$ Reading the reviews it seems like you guys may have amateur programmers working on your systems. I also doubt that you are aware that when the ISP pushes updates it can result the repeater. I've had ATT Uverse gigapower reboot and lose my repeater. The 20$ I realize is a license per player acc. It's unhappy that so a lot of people in this room apparently never had any another smart home stuff installed. Ip Cameras, RTI, Creston, Hai all have license fees per and some per item. Static IP will cure what ales you.

  Kevin Krussell: Beautiful awesome apk Tiny limited on editing from the apk itself but if installed programmed correctly by installer alleviates most of them. And you can port forward with Lutron so you dont have to buy $60 a year service. I've only had to use that service with one customer because he was behind a double nat and his ISP won't give me a public address.

  Christopher Bratteli: Subscription for remote use? Most devices behind my firewall need only an IP address, port number, login, and password to gain access from anywhere in the globe, without any fees. What is the purpose of Lutron charging a $5 monthly subscription fee for this common tool feature? The apk usually works well on the LAN. I suspect the few connectivity problems I occasionally have are due to issues with my LAN configuration.

  Brian Erling: Lack of Customization and home screen Need to add more customization options. Virtual keypad is limited to 8 territories on a smartphone. I could be able to make as a lot of buttons and combinations as I wish. If there is a preset button including multiple circuits, I can't change what's included. Give me access to customize. Also no awesome homescreen. I hear that Apple is better, give me a gratis Apple apk until android device catches up.

  Raul Rodila: Buggy Modernize The application no longer reflects status changes for actions in the apk when on Wi-Fi. It does reflect such updates when connected over 4G. For example, if I turn a light off by clicking the off button, the physical light turns off, but the dimmer slider in the apk remains at the same percentage as it was before I turned the light off. If I change to a various room then come back, the change is then reflected. This only happens on Wi-Fi, not on cellular.

  Dave Robinson: Recent modernize buggy... The apk no longer tracks status of controlled devices. When activating a RA2 device from my Galaxy Note II the load does turn on or goto the slider setpoint but the status feedback does not modernize. I'm sure Lutron will address this fact quickly and push an modernize shortly. RadioRA2 Inclusive 8.0 HC+ Ver 6.1

  Roger Martyna: The apk works fairly well except...if you test to remove a light from one of the key pads you will send the main repeater into secure mode and it won't be able to save your changes. You can add a light without any trouble. You just can't remove them when you've added them. The apk needs a fix for this.

  David Broderick: Updated 1/30/2016 Took away other star based on the response below. The fact is on this thread you claim port forwarding is supported and to call help for info. When you call help they tell you it is unsafe and they will not help. Also Lutron has a document on port forwarding that leaves out specific info on how to set it up. So if you have a document on your web-site that says it is supported and it does work but leaves out specific info on how to setup then Lutron is being very disingenuous. The truth is you are trying hard to receive players to subscribe to a very expensive service with a lousy paid for apk on top of it. And please don't come back and say it is supported until you have revised your document on port forwarding showing step-by-step on how to implement this. After a week of back and forth with Lutron they finally provided the missing info from their Remote FAQ Document on how to implement Port Forwarding. So I've revised the review here and raised from 1 Star to 4 Stars. It's too awful tech help didn't take my initial inquiry and just provide the details that I was asking for. If they had I would give them 5 stars.

  Gerald g: Beautiful weak all in all. Not sure why you have to pay for cloud control, are you guys really that hard up for money Lutron? And your GUI is not really that sophisticated, you have had a really big head begin on the another guys, time to clean it up and create it nice. Intuitive is the word, my grandma could be able to use it the same method I can.

  Arnar Mar Hrafnkelsson: This is review is for ver 9.6.0 of the apk and ver 9.4.0 for the QS OS. This apk is a bit disappointing on a few levels. The navigation is organized according to either function (shades, lighting etc), or place (a given room that's on a given floor). The player sometimes has to navigate through a few levels to receive to things that are close. A easy improvement to the navigation would be to use the same connectivity between rooms as you have in your actual house. So say you are in the master bedroom, having a fast choice to go to master bathroom, master walk in closet, or hallway. Instead you go up a level which might be a floor which might have a bunch of places. For a while I should add time based happenings in the apk but that seems to have disappear in this ver, and the only remaining option is to change things that were defined by the installer. It used to work to search the controller on the network in apk. Now I have to add IP and login manually. The installer programs are decent. But the whole model of having all this flexibility but relying on an installer to come back and change which light circuits a given button controls feels .

Apk getting marginally better over time but it is still slow to begin and not very useful... They could think of doing android device widgets or shortcuts or improve favorite screen where u can make ur own collection of buttons feom different keypads

  Trevor Green: Mediocre really Fairly unimpressed with this apk. For a so called shop leader, you'd think the apk would be better laid out and more functional. I can't trust that we have to use remote services and pay for that. Scam. Port forwarding could be allowed. Allow me set the IP or DNS Ffs. I got around it for my clients using VPN. Such a cash grab though. Everything is overpriced with Lutron it seems. Equipment works awesome for the most part

  Jason Ochoa: Modernize removed help for port forwarding This system could be using something more sophisticated than telnet. Telnet is unreliable and slow. For what we pay for the apk and the system I'd really like to see some modern integration. Often with this apk I have to send commands very slowly because if I press a button too quickly it just drops the request (for example turning off Eco mode and increasing the temp without waiting 15 seconds in between)

  Rizwan Merchant: Modernize causes favorite to no longer be saved After I updated this apk, the favorites screen upon startup is no longer able to be saved. Also, when I begin up the apk, the "places /rooms" screen is the default begin up screen regardless of what I set as the favorites screen.
