  L. S: apk does not alert you when fresh messages are posted for your schools. you have to check it manually if you are looking for fresh info/updates.

  A Google user: Apk used to work well until a few weeks ago. I have uninstalled and installed a few times. Apk always crashes when you test to begin it. Totally useless now.
