Madal is very famous percussion instrument and widely used in Nepal. The madal is a cylindrical body created up of wood with a slight bulge at its center and double headed. The heads of the drum are created of double-layered goat skins, and a black paste created of flour, iron filings, and egg is burned in to a circular place in the center of each head.
