  A Google user: I use this apk with RGB+CCT striplight. The trouble is that when l changed colour from RGB to CCT, the RGB colour did not switch off resulting in mixed RGB and CCT colours being turned on. This also happened when I switched from CCT to RGB. The round about method is for me to dim 100% either the RGB or the CCT colour from the apk in order to receive a single colour. It would be awesome if the apk can do this automatically by turning off the rgb before turning on the cct colour and vice versa.

  Fergal Butler: I'm using it with a 5050 RGB strip, 2 wS2811 dynamically addressable strips, and E27 RGB bulbs. It works well with them all. The group capability works well across the 3 device types. The only problem i have is that i can't search any GU10 RGB bulbs which are compatible with the apk.

  A Google user: The apk gives the player simple control of the lights and has some useful features and customization options. my largest complaint is about the melody synchronization. even synchronizing my lights to slow jazz melody just about gives me a seizure! i mean, the lights could transition a lot more smoothly in my opinion, especially with jazz.. and please at least give me an option to lower the brightness when im using this feature. i was excited to use the melody sync but it just hurts my eyes to use it. EDIT: i got the melody sync to work better by turning up volume, lowering the sensitivity, and placing my smartphone next to the speaker. still should use brightness adjustments and smoother transitions though.

  Victor Ude: Upgrading to 5 stars despite my earlier complaint because these awful boys work on my Google Wifi's 5G network even though they're not supposed to according to the specs! Wireless connection setup is really painful for one necessary reason; on certain versions of Android device the OS will "helpfully" change back to a wireless connection network that has internet during the setup process. Setup instructions need to inform people to be sure to select the "remain on this network" option to avoid unnecessarily wasting time 🙃
