Mahjong 4 Mates allows you to play mahjong with your mates and/or bots! American, Chinese, Hong Kong, and British Mahjong are supported. Can't play your method? Send us an email! Summaries of guidelines are provided below: Chinese/British/Hong Kong Guidelines - 4 pongs/kongs and a pair are mahjong - Sequences can be used to replace a pong/kong - An optional charleston is provided - Mahjong and sequence limitations can be overridden (to assist you play by your rules!) American Mahjong Guidelines: - One right, across, left charleston round (0-3 tiles left) - If all 4 users accept, One left, across, right charleston round (0-3 tiles right) - One charleston pass across (0-3 tiles) - Mahjong when matching a combination on the card. - Jokers can only be used in matches of 3 or more tiles. - Any user can swap a matching tile for exposed jokers You can play with your mates on any American Mahjong card by choosing "Another Card" - scoring is supported on the 2022, 2021, and 2020 National Mahjongg League cards, as well as the 2022 and 2021 Marvelous Mah Jongg cards. Matt Flynn: I was looking for an apk to learn Mahjong and this one is definitely the best. Moving the tiles is simple and unlike the another mahjong apks i've tried, you can place together your sets yourself rather than automatic. Good help. If you ask, the developers will give you the scoring way.

Diane C: I live how this apk doesn't do the thinking for you. You have to Chow and Pong by yourself. It's for ppl who already know how to play and wish to practice. I also LOVE how you can play with your mates online and don't have to have 4 users. The mini game has Bots to fill a user spot. Also!! On top of that the developers are so responsive, there was a bug one time and I DMed them and they responded in 1 hour!!!!

Rodney Foy: We have played a few hands, set to Chinese guidelines, 2 of us versus 2 bots on the server, and it's very playable. The bots are simple to beat, which is awesome ! Why would we wish THEM to victory ? It gives a score for the hand. We haven't yet played a full mini game of 16+ hands, and I'm not sure if it adds them up. We should always do that ourselves. However, there should be arguments if playing versus remote mates (maybe we should share a spreadsheet). Although gratis, we would willingly pay

ALLISON FRIDAY: I teach American and Chinese Mahjongg and I think this is a terrific method to practice and play. Dozens of options with various cards and ways. It also gives recommendations for various hands which is incredibly helpful for those just learning. I've told my students about it and they love it. You can play by yourself versus bots or make a room and invite mates. Highly suggested for those with at least a primary understanding of the mini game. And you can play offline if you're data conscious.
