  Daniel Mathias Bair: I teach elementary kids. We use songs--most of which are sung by females and are too high for the children even to sing. Being a male teacher and having the option to adjust pitch and speed is good. I love that it's right on the front of the user. One caveat, it would be nice if these buttons turned on/off the features by tap rather than opening feature options (maybe press and keep for options, tap for on/off). It's workable as is and worth buying. Thanks.

  A Google user: As they say, I've tried them all. This is the most functional audiobook user and it's not even marketed as one. It has the most necessary features: variable speed AND pitch, responds to bluetooth headphone controls, shows up in the status bar, has a working sleep timer you can set for any number of mins OR it can be set to stop at the end of a file. It will also play an entire folder in order. Smart audiobook reader is probably the closest, but it doesn't have a true sleep timer that you can configure to less than one hour. It also lacks pitch control. Only complaint about Maple is that the buttons are packed close together and it's simple to accidentally click "random play" or "repeat" when you are trying to advance or rewind 10 seconds. Minor.

  A Google user: I've been waiting for this apk for years! As a guitar user learning difficult passages, its good being able to slow down a tune I'm trying to learn, then putting the passage on A-B repeat, which will hold playing back just the selection, so I can learn it note for note, and practice repeatedly. Audacity does this on the PC, but its not as simple as this, plus its on your smartphone which saves all sorts of hassles in getting the PC out, etc. Well worth the price paid for it, that's for sure.

  A Google user: This apk is easy to use and the pitch and speed control works well. The developer has always got back to my emails the same day and was polite and helpdul. I was having a trouble with this apk and my phones cpu governer. I asked the dev to add the wake controls so that the screen stayed on which would fix the trouble and he added it within days. He evan emailed me to tell me about the modernize. I am a very satisfied customer. :)

  Alec Brooke: Good melody user. Very impressed with the equalizer. The only things I feel are missing are a Recently Added section, the ability to browse by Year, and being able to refresh the tracks (I've updated my mp3s, but the ID tags still have the old genres). On my smartphone (S3 Mini) I have Maple and Samsung's Melody User. Even adding just the Recently Added feature would be enough to give up the Samsung user.
