The apk provides a focused learning. Its primarily targeted to help kids with revision and learning for the year 4 Basic School Multiplication Assessments (UK). The apk was produced after initial consultation with local basic teachers. App sounds and melody were sourced from freeSFX, and can be found at http://www.freesfx.co.uk These can be controlled within the apk settings. Multiplication ways and principles are initially be explored through the use of dot patterns and matrices. These fundamental ways can then be practised and reinforced through the multiple choice quiz section, for each times table. Some tips and advices are also recommended, to promote the use of maths ways when solving questions. But search the your own memorable ways or tricks if you wish to. The actual answers to the times table questions will still become ingrained with time, but the ways used to calculate and remember them will be of greater use longer term. It is not important or helpful to just 'memorise' all tables. The timed School Multiplication Assessment, is in a format related to that needed by UK Basic Schools. The Basic School Assessment format is 25 questions, and 6 seconds to reply each question. The apk algorithms selects questions in accordance with the published try constraints. With a slight bias in preference of certain times tables. But the apks 'Basic School Assessment' also allows for fewer tables to be chosen within any particular try , so as to let for more focused practice of particular tables as needed. And its really best used in this format on a 'fairly regular' basis. The 'Try History Chart' records the final score history from all 'Basic School Assessments', so progress and improvement can be reviewed with time.
