  A Google user: Unlike a lot of another news organization apks which can't be moved to SD card, this one installs directly to the SD card and has a very little memory footprint (which is necessary if you have an AT&T smartphone jammed with crapware). The Player Interface is clean and well-organized and there are enough options to customize the content it downloads to satisfy all but the pickiest of players. If you like McClatchy coverage of news you'll like this. (And if you don't then why are you bothering to read this?)

  PristineSneakers: The 20 second video advertisements load flawlessly. Unfortunately, even if you're cool with that, the video that you're sitting through the advertisement for doesn't always load. Also finding the X button on their pop up advertisements is akin to playing Where's Waldo. That aside, it's a decent apk. I think I might just stick to visiting the website on a browser.

  A Google user: I have fun having McClatchy articles for commutes but the apk has a tendency to crash. Usually not when I'm using it but at another times, like on boot, which slows down the smartphone as a whole while Android device tries to deal with it. Otherwise a 4 but that glitch makes it too bothersome to hold installed. Removed from my galaxy s2.
