Access to all grade levels and topic places provides teachers with content to close the gap for struggling learners and accelerate content knowledge for student who master standards at an accelerated pace. Parent Engagement: These resources provide principals and teachers effective tactics to promote parent, family, and community partnerships that help student learning. As schools cultivate these partnerships that invite input, this shared responsibility for decision-making positively impacts student achievement. • Parent and Family Engagement – Teacher • Parent, Family, and Community Engagement - Principal Vocabulary Cards: Academic vocabulary is a foundational knowledge base that is a important component for standards mastery in all topic places and grade levels. The Vocabulary Cards module contains cards with academic vocabulary terms, student-friendly language definitions, terms used in a sentence with standards-based context, and graphics to help student understanding (when applicable). This resource provides access to the vocabulary terms as digital flip cards and are accessible for print. Word Play Activities: The Word Play Activities module provides teachers with a dozens of tactics to teach academic vocabulary at the elementary and secondary grade levels. These subject-specific Word Play Activities offer students varied experiences as they learn academic vocabulary. Teachers can access the Word Play Activities module easily to implement a tactic during instruction to address vocabulary instructional needs. Coupled with the Vocabulary Cards module, these vocabulary activities become less-time consuming to prepare and can be a regular component of instruction. • ELAR/ELA • Math • Science Social and Emotional Learning (SEL): Use these resources to develop an environment to help student and adult understanding and management of feelings, establishing and accomplishing goals, developing compassion, development of positive relationships, and making awesome decisions that fosters effective learning. In addition, the resource suggests methods for educators to assist students take responsibility for their behavior. The module features hundreds of ready-to-use interventions and practical, proactive tactics and techniques for behavior management. English Language Learners (ELLs): This resource provides techniques and tactics for teaching English Language Learners, including methods to engage parents and recognize the role that culture plays in learning. Assist students acquire the language skills and content knowledge they need to engage in learning and successfully meet grade-level expectations.
