Learn English while Watching Movies! Playing films in vertical view – watch a film and read subtitle script at once! MePlayer Film is a film user for studying language/English that supports SMI and SRT subtitles. The whole subtitle script can be read by scrolling so that you can study English while watching a film. Words can be found on a dictionary just by clicking at them. You can study English easily while watching film with automatic clever replay and repeat. Just like ordinary video users, you can use this tool to watch films conveniently. ==== Before-Playing Settings ==== Place a film file and its subtitle file in a same folder of the device. It generally provides MP4 and AVI. The file could have the format that is played in the smartphone itself. For flawless playing, we suggest you to encode files to MP4. Subtitles could be in SMI or SRT file formats. ==== Directions for Use ==== 1. Begin MePlayer Film and choose the item to play from the playlist. 2. Rewind, Pause/Play and Quick Forward functions: Play the buttons on the displayed film. - Rewind: Goes back to the latest subtitle starting point. - Pause/Play: Displays control menu. - Quick Forward: Goes to the next subtitle starting point. 3. Scroll and search the part you wish to see from the subtitle script. Playing will begin from that point by touching the part. 4. Replay: Replays the sentence automatically as a lot of times as you chose. - Clever Replay: Automatically decides number of replays considering difficulty of the sentence. - Section Replay: Provides convenient section replays by sentences. 5. Repeat: Automatically pauses after playing one sentence before playing the next sentence. During the pause, you can read out the subtitle or practice speaking. If the device is set to TTS (Text To Speech), the subtitle will be read by TTS. 6. Subtitle Selection: Korean/English/All subtitles can be selected. 7. Horizontal View <-> Vertical View: The film can be played in full page by choosing Horizontal View. 8. Sound Play: When you quit film playing (by clicking Back button), only the sound of the film can be played like using a MP3 player. 9. Dictionary: By touching the subtitle lightly from the film photo or by long clicking the subtitle from the lower script, the word list will be displayed. When you choose a word to find, the word will be shown in the dictionary. - The list of searched words can be used as the vocabulary list. - Delete searched words: Long click words to delete. - TTS pronunciation help: If you can’t hear the sound, set from the smartphone options. 10. Setting: Resume Play, Dictionary Selection, Horizontal View/Vertical View and another info can be set. 11. Control playback speed : above Android6.0, MP4 format ==== Supported Functions ==== . myunghoon Kim: 정말 좋은 프로그램 만들어 주셔서 감사합니다. 그런데 영상 숨기기 기능을 사용하면 진행중인 한 문장만 플레이 된 후 다음 부분으로 진행이 되지 않고 일시정지가 되어 버립니다. 따라서 영상 숨기기 기능을 사용할 수 없는 상황과 마찬가지 입니다. 결국 다음 부분으로 진행하기 위해서 영상 숨기기를 취소하고 플레이 버튼을 클릭해 줘야 합니다. 현재 제가 사용중인 기기는 갤럭시 노트 4 입니다. 기존에 사용하던 갤럭시 기기에서도 동일한 문제가 있었으니 참고 바랍니다. 감사합니다.

Tushar Kumar: Really the best apk which has created me stick to the habit of listening to the films very carefully. Also I didn't search any another apk like this currently on GooglePlay. It's special. Finally a large thank you to the developer. Hats off to him for this good idea of learning foreign language. As a recommendation, Please create the UI modern. Ability to change font family, font color. Also custom background color. Ability to find and download subtitles from the apk. Ability to remove the bottom bar. Ability to jump back and forth using the hardware volume keys, so that while sleeping I can listen to a film and if any dialogue is not clear then I can quickly go back using keys, without waking up the device.

Update(17.08.2019): it turns out that to play audio in background when video is already playing you need to tap back button two times so you can can see green bar on top of the screen. After that background playing works.
