  A Google user: Long story short, chatting with the heroic Max, who took a lot of time out of his Sunday to discuss my concerns (of which there were a lot of), I was persuaded to uninstall the gratis ver and test other apk about which a really big number of players' were complaining because it didn't automatically unlock for calls and they had to remember to do so themselves - which was exactly what I wanted for my own purposes. It didn't block my microphone when I called my smartphone at all! So I uninstalled it and bought the PRO ver of Micro Guard. Why? Because the level of help above and beyond the call of duty offered by ProtectStar is the type I have always offered myself and that means I believe that the Devs and Help REALLY know what they are doing - you HAVE to in order to care THAT much about the service as well as the product. So, I now have the Pro versions of both blockers (cam and mic). Well done, Maxi when you receive tired of being a techie, you could begin managing a Customer Service department - I'll buy whatever product it is, even if I don't need it, just to experience the quality service 😉

  J P G: Finally! Finally a developer did it right. An apk that has an simple, effective UI. An apk that actually works(not just a false sense of safety). An simple to use Whitelist option. AND a real-time monitor to present what apks are attempting to spy. Most effective is the Mic AND Camera guard together. 5.....freaking.....stars.

  Rich Snow: Really like your apks. See my another review under your Camera Guard Blocker Gratis, which was updated to the Pro features from within the Gratis apk. This microphone blocker seems to work just ok for me, seamlessly working in combination with anti-virus & anti-malware apks + another safety apks, just as you said in your description. It's simple to turn on & off, and this all while I have over 150 apks installed. I'm using Android device 5.1.1 Lollipop on my cell smartphone, which I'm almost using like a laptop. Some microphone blockers seem to block by muting, whereas others seem to take & release control of the microphone. I have other mic blocker that uses the former way, whereas I trust yours uses the latter. Maybe that's overkill, but after I was tried to be listened in on a while back, by a company I had a trouble with which created incoming calls to me 3 to 4 times a day for at least 2 months resulting in my having to report them to the CFPB and the FTC, I became cautious. As long as they're not used at the same time it seems to be OK, but I seem to prefer your apk. You seem to create awesome apks. Hold up the awesome work. As a former, but aging programmer (dinasour), I like to encourage awesome developers when I can. Thanks.

  Russell R.: While it can't block everything (certain system apks) from accessing the mic, it's a lot better than nothing. It also seems like these guys are professional, although looks can be deceiving. I guess time will tell, but until now, I haven't trusted any of the microphone blocking apks except this one (partly because they are highly suggested by a lot of prestigious magazines, etc.).

  Philip Thomas: Good apk, now the auto lock feature is there, with simple access to disable the block from the notifications. It would be nice if there was a method to combine both Camera and Mic blocking notations together, to take up less room. Maybe a standalone apk that can control all protectstar apks from one interface?

  A Google user: Works very well, and works with an Auto Call Recorder (mine on S8). Whitelist controls access for apks only I deem neccessary and blocks the rest. Of course DON'T FORGET to reciprocate permissions on relevant apks!! i.e. most necessary when trying to setup auto call recorders to work with mike protecters; recorders which are already very difficult to tool and manage. I wonder how a lot of of the adament whingers actually receive the context of the whitelist red and green icons reversed... just sayin'.

Side note: the developer is fast to reply all my inquiries. Usually within the hour I have a response from a true person! I highly suggest this and all their apks!

  Monica M. Cochran: Unbelievable. It's good to search out how a lot of apks are attempting to access your phone's microphone every day, every hour, every min! You ask yourself why? What would this or that apk even need my microphone for? That's exactly why you need this Appointment! Definitely go for the Pro ver. It's only $2, you'll be extremely satisfied with it, I promise. I'm not affiliated with this apk in any method at all. But, I did receive hacked in December, 2016. It was horrific. Save yourself a lot of potential issues. Oh, there is a camera ver too. It's so simple to click this on and off, there's also a white list. The apk does run constantly, but I've checked, it barely registers on the garage. I don't think you would message the battery useage if you didn't go looking for it. Once more, why do these apks wish your microphone? They are using your smartphone for illegal things, they are placing charges to your accounts! Yes, you check your bills carefully, I do too. But these criminals have all sorts of methods of doing such things that are un-noticeable. Call me crazy, paranoid whatever you wish too. But, hackers are our there, why do you think apks like this exist???

They're not expensive to buy in my opinion, I just don't wish to waste my time worrying about phone camera and microphone privacy problems. And I've had no problems whatsoever with battery usage, despite unchecking them as apks not being optimized. Basically, the apk is perfect.

  Rob Markosek: I have been using this and the camera blocker for a couple years now and its so simple to use and it works near flawlessly. Only problems that have come up have been when I make batter my Pixel to the recent OS but fixes were released shorlty after. Their help is also perfect with prompt responses and they will work with you until a solution is found. Couldnt suggest enough. Don't believe those copy-cat apks out there. These guys were the first.

I own all the PRO apks, but if you're on a budget they even allow you use most of it gratis! Help is quick and always gets things fixed. Refunds if ever required were always offered NO FUSS. Most low ratings are due to not understanding the setup and are quite unfair as they will assist you sort it out painlessly. 10/10

  Denise Richey: Im confused as to a few things. One being the pro apk doesnt work unless i download the gratis one. Thats understandable but i wasnt even aware there was a gratis one when i purchased the Pro ver. Apks usually have a note to install Gratis before Pro. I installed the Gratis one and its trying to sale me the Pro. The gratis apk has no idea i already own the Pro. Im seriously confused. Am i running your Pro ver? All signs point to i am! Then whats this mystery apk "Pro Ver" the "Gratis Ver" is trying to sale me? IDK! I uninstalled the "Gratis Ver" out of fear and the "Pro Ver" started acting out. My pjones system showed that it was running but i couldnt receive it to turn on. 😨 Its really a awesome apk and i can't wait untill all the bugs are worked out. Ill then give it five stars. I cant wait. Satisfied Days ProtectStar and ProtectStar players! ✌☺

  John Doe: 1. Toggling to enable it through the notification doesn't work. 2. No simple method to batch whitelist or blacklist apks. 3. Add an option, maybe in the 3 dot menu in the top right, to whitelist/blacklist all system apks. 4. Add an option to only present apks that have the microphone permission to create it easier for us to select from the list of apks. 5. Add an option to whitelist notifications of player specified app(s) about it/them being able to use the microphone.

  A Google user: Modernize I hung in there with the apk and so far so awesome. Now to really create Guard Pro apks POP ...add them together, give the player the ability to block EITHER or ALL wireless connection, data, mic, and cam connections under dashboard blocked apk detail place and this would be Wonderfully Unbelievable .
