  Wayne Black: I'll leave a review here too. Currently running this apk (I uninstalled the Device Control Apk) on a Nexus 6P with Android device 8.0 beta. A few observations. It DOES work. But, using the "OK Google" command isn't a awesome try to see if the Microphone is Locked OFF. The Google Assistant will still work after the mic is locked OFF, but if you install a Voice Recording Apk you will search that the mic is really locked OFF and you won't be able to record until you enable the mic by tapping the Widget. So I can only assume that the Microphone is indeed OFF and no nefarious agents can snoop and listen in to my conversations.

  M. D.: This apk blocks the microphone well. It has 3 diff locking modes. All modes work ok on my smartphone. On one older smartphone the Block mode works better. Very useful apk to protect from someone snooping, or secretly recording. Also prevents unintended in-the-pocket recording.

  A Google user: THIS ONE WORKS ! One necessary thing to remember is aside from controlling your Mic apk per se, this Expert Systems Mic Lock supercedes the mic in your Camera apk as well; You can lock the Camera with the Expert Systems Camera Lock to prevent video recording but you need this Mic Lock to prevent recording of the Mic in your Camera apk. Quite old school and I loved it ! I have purchased the Mic Lock, Sound Lock, and Camera Lock apks altogether in the FREE Device Control apk ;-)

  A Google user: I originally bought the"DEVCTRL" apk, which had Mic, sound, internet, and camera locks built into one. Everything was good, and since, I've changed phone's, providers, manual permissions for another apks. The help guys are quick, and they gave me fresh purchase codes for individual apks. Highly suggest developers. I must have screwed up my smartphone, or it's Verizon, or Google or worse, but, for example, administrator rights for Mic lock, has only "lock screen" accessible. Developer not to blame, they've been good. Sry for misexplaination.

  Bob Dahlgren: Had high hopes, awesome comms with the developer before i bought the apk. APP DOES NOT WORK, now that i spent the $ developer is unresponsive. You said it would work on S8. Dont trust snarky response that will follow.
