A lot of species are represented with multiple call examples showing the full range of vocalizations. ● The ability to compare any two photos, maps, or sounds, side by side on the screen. ● The ability to filter by geographic place, so that you see only the species likely to occur in your place, and to further reduce the possibilities to usual or vagrant species in the chosen place. ● A "Smart Find" that gives the ability to find by distinguishing features such as size, colour, physical features, habitat and exclude certain types of birds (eg. A Google user: Had it for years and i love it - the recordings, the distribution maps and the illustrations of the birds' nesting habitats. Pencils drawings of birds create me nostalgic for childhood atlases, and i love these. All birdwatchers have their favourite bird ebooks. I prefer a Pizzey, but definately would suggest the Morcombe apk for it's nice UI and usability. An investment, but worth it.

A Google user: I use this apk extensively and it is good. Occasionally I search an anomaly where birds in my chosen place don't present in the list even though their distribution does. I think the apk would benefit if you should select your place by touching the map of Australia. I have suggested this apk to a lot of mates. It is worth every cent and a lot of more. Love the recent modernize 8/1/16.

The audio recordings are clear and the drawings of the birds are unbelievable. This apk has created my birding and bird photography so much easier. I use this apk a lot with my photography when takeing images of birds. I play the bird songs for the bird I am takeing and they fly in closer to investigate the song. Haveing this apk on your smartphone allows you to take it with you, instead of a massive and bulky book.Having sound has assist me identify birds that have looked very related too each another. A Google user: Until the recent modernize (25th Feb 2020), I would have given this apk 5/5. However, unless I am blind, the find bar (indicated by the magnifying glass symbol) has disappeared from the top of the list when you begin the apk, rendering it almost useless! You used to be able to kind 'bowerbirds' for example and it would narrow he list down. Please reinstate the find bar! Edit - thank you for the fix - very prompt!
