Morse Mentor provides an simple method to learn Morse Code using the Koch Way. Begin by listening to 2 heroes and enter what you hear. If you obtained a 90% overall accuracy then you can move on to 3 heroes and repeat the process. You immediately begin learning at higher speeds so you don't hit a wall later when you're ready to advance, either as a CW operator or just a Morse code enthusiast. Flexible options let you to learn the method you're comfortable with and at the speed that suits you. A Practice mode allows you to practise with the 1000 most common English words, CW abbreviations and call signs or your own custom words so you can improve your skills. With narration enabled, words can be spoken before and after they're transmitted. This allows you to learn words faster and use the apk hands-free. Lesson Mode * Keeps track of your accuracy and provides a report per hero at the end of a lesson * Differences are highlighted in colour so you can easily see where your entered heroes don't match those transmitted * Farnsworth timing to slow down effective playing speed without slowing down hero speeds (aligned to ARRL suggestions that preserves spacing ratios) * Hear how fresh heroes sound before a session starts so you can prepare for the lesson * Play fresh heroes more frequently or play all heroes with equal probability * Play difficult/hard heroes that you struggle with more often so you can receive more practice * Select the session duration, WPM, tone frequency and more * Define your own custom lesson heroes. Only wishes: a switch to switch off missed places to be counted as errors (but hold the places); added noise to the signal. Good work!!!

Lin Rogers: first functional Koch way apk I've found so far!! will teach you letters and allow you transcribe in apk. I'm just starting and settings I suggest changing first are: turning on Farnsworth timing and setting that wpm lower, and using device keyboard instead of the app's really like it!

I've tried a couple of another apks and sites and they are not as awesome, mostly they let you to slow down too much between heroes which is doom for effective learning. Others are too intolerant of mistakes and won't assess your copy if you miss a couple of heroes.

C4 Bns: Unbelievable to learn morse with. Although there is no transmit feature i realized later that transmitting becomes super simple if you can hear. If only the bug got fixed where a missed place breaks the whole sequence's rating. Another than that: easy but efficient!

Ranulf Doswell: This is good. I was using other Morse apk to learn to send, but this is the best for learning to keep as you can use the Farnsworth settings to play all full speed but with longer gaps between letters. Playing the morse at "full speed" has enabled me to receive out of the mental decode mindset and taught me to recognise the sounds instead. Only about 1/3 the method through the alphabet so far, but they feel instinctive now instead of memorised.

G.T. Chow: Just the apk I was looking for to practice listening and decoding. All the another apks I've tried simply teaches us how to code or use morse code but only this allows me to learn how to decode by listening and it's very effective and sequenced (eg starting from K and M, etc.)
